Deadbolt401 -> NHL Conference Finals (5/9/2008 5:00:07 PM)

30somthing Pages is too much to read through. Might as well start a new thread.

http://forums.fishusa.com/m_75808/mpage_38/tm.htm Theres the link we left off at on the old thread, in case ya'll need to refresh your minds.

So, Dallas vs. Detroit- This is Detroits first real test in the playoffs, They beat an average Nashville team, and decimated a mediocre, injury ridden Colorado team who beat Minnesota to get to the 2nd round. Game 1 was a great game for detroit, as osgood played phenomonal. I think this series is far from over.

Pens vs Flyers

Whew, where to start. There's so much hype coming up to this. I can't stand it. As I sit here 2 hours 38 minutes to face off, I begin to think, and dare I say it, "Worry". For my penguins. I see no point in commenting untill the first game starts. All I can say is, The Stanley Cup is coming to the Atlantic Division this year, and even better Pennsylvania. West can go pound salt!

Its exciting times, I am worried also, especially with Timmonen out.

Good Luck!

I either catch the Red Wings when they are on fire, or they are just an unbelievably good team.  I don't understand how they kept under the salary cap.  The Pens have the youngsters that they aren't forced to shell out for, so makes some sense.

As for tonight, this is going to rule.  This series is going to be great.  I don't see the Pens losing, but who knows.  The Flyers are a great team.  Especially after how horrible they were 1 year ago.  Hopefully it is a good series, although, I wouldn't mind another quick series, if the Pens are the ones on top...

Should be a good one tonight.  Heading out the door in a little bit for the game, so I'll catch up with you guys after the game for sure.

Grendel -> RE: NHL Conference Finals (5/9/2008 5:43:49 PM)

the Wings are on fire.  Dallas needs to stay out of the sin-bin if they want to make it a series.  They way the Wings are flying, I can understand why Dallas is taking far too many penalties.  I am afraid the THUGS will be doing the same - too many penalties.  Although the THUGS seem to get opportunities short-handed.  Who knows.  I do not expect this to be a quick "in and out" for the penz.  Lots of whining though.....[:(][:(][:(][:(][:(]
