Anyone been fishing it lately? Tried for trout yesterday caught two smallmouth.. figures. Anyone ever fish the fly fish only section? any good smallie spots?

Haven't fished there in a while, but there were quite a few trout there year round when I used to fish there. They are very educated trout though.

Haha very educated... i hear ya there was a bunch of guys where I was fishing too. In the Fly fishing only can live bait be used on a fly rod? like nymph tipped with mags

I agree with Dealin. Though it would be easy to post "THE" answer, rather than what you might PERCIEVE as a smart arsed one, his WAS the answer. I've seen way too much mis-information posted here, or spread through streamside, and bait shop talk.

no you can't put live bait on a fly rod and LEGALLY fish a fly fishing only section, because the fly fishing only section is an ALO section-artificial lures only.

Fish it soon before the grass gets too high,already growing.Have been catching trout and smallies,throught the river.
