To become a expert or pro fisherman on here i guess all you have to do is write post if that is all there is to it i guess that i have waisted sixty years i should have been writeing instead of fishing and i would be more than just a new angler. Oh well i don't spell very well anyway !!  Guess that i will just keep pulling in those CARP.

Welcome!  We all have to begin somewhere and this forum is no different.  In theory, those with the "higher" rankings are those who have contributed the most.  Alas, not always the case.

Better to pull in carp than crap though!

This is the one place where, I as still a newbie in fishing feel that I can ask a question and get honest advice. Other forums that I belong to I'm affraid to ask such questions.

I'd rather have years of on hands knowledge then somebody reading a book and saying they are an expert.

Well i think if your an expert youd have only a few post cause your out fishing and not at home in front of a computer! Im no expert but i seldom post just every now and then i try to give an honest update to a lake or place ive recently been!I think i may have 65 or son posts i joined this forum in 2002!!!
over the years ive gained valueable info here and have learned to seperate the bs!
ther really are some super fisherman on these forums and ive also made some great friends over the years we still get together all year long.

Considering the count labels as anything is silly.  An "Expert" can fish every day of their lives and post several times every night so there is no correlation between people posting and their ranking on these (or any other) forums.  I belong to many fishing, motorcycycle and other forums and having few or many posts means very little.

More important is the quality of the posts.  Some come to learn, some come to help, some come to socialize and some come to just be jerks.  Their count means nothing.

The real experts are the ones whom help the most you can judge that by each post. Some make sense and others donot. But the only way to autmatically make that call for a computer is number of posts.
