When did the US become caretakers to the world? Don't tell me after WWII because we felt our power there and flexed it.Maybe that is why we are hated more than ever.9/11 was a direct result of our meddling in backwards ass countries and making alliances with dictators. This is a coversation that has gone on for over 50 years in the highest of levels, dependence on oil from foreign countries which everyone who was in power knew was dancing with the devil. Our future depression(in the next 10 years)will be a direct result of this folly over many years.GW Bush has big oil in his pockets as he has throughout his life and the profits have been getting bigger in recent years, including recently which you are well aware of.

People all around the world will fight for one reason or another, there is nothing we can do about it.What we can do is open up the oil reserves in Alaska and the Midwest, what we have here is democracy.Get people in gov't that don't take bribes from big oil, look into big oils books, and find out they are raping the citizens blind!Until you get the right people in office, nothing will change except you will pay $5+ a gallon and the poor wll get poorer. This is how revolutions and recessions are started.I am pissed my daughter will have to pay for GW Bush's so called tax break that we are all getting now.Do you know that it will cost all of our children $300+ for this Iraq war and it is going up every day?F-you who says I don't care about America because we are in BIG debt.I voted for that a-hole twice because I felt he was "right for the country in our time of war".Fuck him, that idiot.

You are aware that this money that bush gave you is only a loan off your 08 taxes, right? Do some research there is nothing given to you or I w/out some form of return.

To be realistic about it, 600 is nice and all but sit down and figure out how much that will help any one if us. And oh ya, they want us to spend it to get the economy going, ya on china made goods. The dollar doesn't even stay here. So w/ this one time purchase of 600 the economy will really get someplace, what a joke. One hit wonder.

Goby to pull something out of your words about opening the oil fields from alaska. The main problem w/ this is the oil currently that is being pumped from the artic doesn't even stay w/ us. It's shipped overseas where it's worth more money. So opening up more sounds great and all but lets have the wording stating that it all stays here.

To add:
There have been comments in the past on how come we haven't built any new refineries and the eviro's. are against them. If that was true then why are they building new ethonel plants so quickly? The oil co's don't want to build, keeps the price high.

That money isnt an advance if that is what you are trying to say. It is tax free and not an advance on your next tax return. You will get what you are supossed to next year...not 600 less
