you got to be kidding, whining? if i did my job like he did his, i would have been fired months after starting. got to ask yourself, like the 85% did, are we better off since he took office than we were before. 4000 of our servicemen and women dead in an illegal and unjustifiable war, 150-650,000 iraqi civilians dead, depending on which report you read, and for what? medical and food costs reaching the breaking point. gas going through the roof. the sinking dollar and the enormous trade deficit. man, i could go on for pages on this. whiners..........you have got to be kidding. i was always taught to not take it, but to fight back, make a difference. also, silence means consent, so you must agree with what this administration has done.

No doubt bad presidents come from both parties....Don't vote Democrat just because Bush is a Repulican...

Listen to what these candidates have to say and where they stand on issues you think are important and make a decision that you think will help this Country. Personally I don't think Obama or Clinton will help this Country...So I'm either voting for McCain or younguru

I'm not voting Democrat because BUSH is a Republican, but because McCain,who will be an almost carbon copy of Bush policy is a Republican.

I don't see it that way spoon, I think he'll be allot different.

I mean if you are focused on just one issue,albeit an important one (the war)...I can kinda see your point. McCain will stick it out until there is some stability over there and the Dems will tell you they will bring our troops home, but I'm not sure I believe that...

I just think McCain is the least full of sh!t...I could be wrong

Oh, and I've said this on here before, but just so you know where I stand.... I didn't vote for this Bush either time.

His economic, foriegn, and energy policies are pretty much identical as well. He only differs on global warming ( yes very important ) and campaign finance reform. If he didn't fear being sued by Bush for copyright infringement, his campaign slogan would be "stay the course".

Actually Tippy, I wish I could feel differently. I admire the man very much. I think he deserves the job but isn't the right man for it. Maybe eight years ago ( not due to age, just a different time ), but not now.

Now thats funny right there

...I don't think copyright laws are the only thing preventing McCain from using that as a slogan.

I do disagree with McCain on some issues, but like I said I think he is the least full of sh!t....I'm not a koolaid drinker though...I'll wait til November, but for me McCain is in the front

Right on. What scares me the most is that the country has nothing to fall back on. The whole economy is consumer driven. During the Great deppresion ,we had manufacturing jobs and american made by americans to fall back on(and rebuild). If the stock market crashes ,there is no way to recover. The makings of a third world country.

good points, real easy to agree with, guys. what scares me about mccain is the sabre rattling in regards to iran. i fear he will carry on bush's legacy (nightmare) as a lot of his platform is a mirror of the current administration. this will be the hardest vote ever. wish i could vote on just looks and smooth, but i cannot.

can't the dems come up with anyone better than obama or clinton? i really want to vote for a democrat, but i can't bring myself to vote for either one of them.

i really don't want to get into a political debate, because i really get sick of it. however, i must point out that a lot of people do not realize the good that has happening with the war in iraq, and the media is only interested in the negative aspects. furthermore, we have been safe from any terrorist attacks in the US since 911. something right is being done if we have not been attacked even though we have been AT WAR with terrorists since that time. also, i firmly believe that if our troops were NOT fighting in iraq and afghanistan then the war would be fought here. my two cents, take it or leave it......

Ill take your 2 cents. The men and women of our military have my utmost respect. Its the gov im mad at. The only reason we were not attacked since 911 is because they havent tried yet. I believe If they really want to get us they will. Remember 911 was planed for many, many years. IMO we have not been safe from terrorist attacks in the us. Our boarders are wide open, I say we just got lucky. Our troops have done a great job ,but the job they were asked to do is the wrong job. If their was absolutly no Oil intrest in Iraq this war would be over because there would be no iraq. Just my 1 cent.

also, what good has the war in iraq done. hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians dead, many more wounded, 5000 foreign soldiers dead, tens of thousands maimed for life. afganistan is the war on terror. not one iraqi took part in the attack of the wtc. we attacked iraq for a number of conceived reasons, none of which can be verified. quite obvious that you subscribe to the republican rhetoric that is shoved at us. we would not be fighting bin laden and his ghosts had we gone into afganistan, en masse, in the very beginning. btw, your post above sounds like an old bush commercial.

curious, but i write both my republican and democratic senators at times asking how they feel about certain issues and how they plan to vote. i add little emotion and no antagonisms to these inquiries. i can rest assured that my democratic senator will respond while only once in a great while will his right wing cohort respond. i consider myself an independent voter, voting for the best (perhaps) candidate, but i am quite often duped. however, i really appreciate the fact that the democratic senator responds. may take a week or two, but he gets back to me.

well, um, let me see.... oh, iraqi women and children are no longer beaten, tortured and raped like they were when Hussein was in control. i would say that is good. yes, there is collateral damage. this is a fact with any war.

terrorist networks are all over the place in iraq. in fact, many are filtering into iraq just to combat our troops. remember, iraq harbored MANY terrorist camps. and while a good many have been destroyed, there are still a lot left. if the US leaves terrorists will once again have a safe haven to operate from.

i will not disagree about the oil issue. that is definitely one of the reasons the US is staying there. hey, it will probably buy us about 10 more years before we run out of oil. if you disagree and drive a car you are hypocrite....

remember, we are much safer while the US is in Iraq. no attacks on the US means no attacks on the US. i don't care if we are lucky or not along the borders. i'm just relieved terrorists don't have the luxury of training and plotting attacks in a country that once harbored such networks.....

my family and kids are safe. thanks to the US taking the fight TO the terroists rather than allow them to continue attacking here. remember, 911 was not the ONLY terrorist attack on the US.....

i REALLY don't want to get into this. lol.....

It may sound weird, but I'd rather hear someone talk about doing the RIGHT things, even if half of it's bullshiite. Rather than tell me the TRUTH about wanting to do the wrong things.

The Democrat congress has been ineffective, due largely to the same obstructionist tactics that the Republicans cried about for the previous six years. And THEY didn't have the veto to conternd with, on top of them.

The average American, of course, ( and sadly ) only sees ineffectiveness WITHOUT looking to the root cause.

just for the record, i'm NOT saying Bush has been a good president---far from it--- but i do believe that he has done a good job at protecting this country from subsequent attacks of terrorists. in addition, i believe that what has happened in iraq has and will have a positive impact on the people living there, as well as keep America safe.....

I have to admit though, that Nancy Pelosi, was the absolute WORSTE choice for speaker as they could possibley have made. Howard dean as party chairman runs a VERY close second in poor choices.

What about the women and children that are being murdered and raped in Daufor and Somalia and Lord knows where else in the world?? Maybe we ought to send troops there too. What about the wives and children of OUR servicemen. Don't you think they might be suffering a little too???
Maybe you could explain what sort of uniform these terrorist wear. What do they look like? I'm sure our troops would like to know. Does Viet Nam ring any bells for you?? The house boy or barber or street vender during the day was the sapper (terrorist) at night. I'm glad you feel safe since we're in Iraq. I'll bet the people in Oklahoma City felt safe too until Tim McVey and his cronies blew up the fed building. I wonder which terrorist camp they went too?? And if you don't think that was an act of terrorism maybe you could explain that to the famlies of those who were murdered. Take off the George Bush, Rush Limbaugh rose colored glasses 'cause you ain't any safer now than pre 9/11.
