Jon,

If you go, be real careful.  It will more than likely be between 450 and 500, plus right around 3 on the depth.

Good Luck.

na Shawn, I'll be ok.  Won't even have to get my feet wet.   I actually think the river fishes better at the 400 level in some places.  Not many, but a few.  I crossed the river the other week at 435 cfs and am confident just about anyone could have, even old fart like you.

I cant make it this weekend. I'm going to camp near the Clarion for a day or 2. I could, however, make it out for a get-together next weekend.

Jon,

I usually take a header when it is flowing less than 150 and less that 2 on depth -- it hurts more that way.

I really prefer 2.75 and 275 for ideal dry fly conditions.

It is 400 right now, so by the end of the week, without a huge rain on Tuesday, it should be great Thursday and Friday.

Fishing was really good this weekend.  The fish liked a #16 olive sulpher nymph and a #14 comparadun.  The fish were up early on Sunday but Monday was really warm.  It didn't happen until dark.  Caught 3 smallies too!  No chubs!  Saw a huge dead sucker.   Wonder if it saw the sucker guide coming??

Saw just a handful of other bugs.  A few yellow cranes, slate drakes, blue duns.  It's all about the sulphers for now.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it this weekend.  I will be chasing down some ski's from the boat all weekend.  My desire to trout fish is slowly dwindling, mainly due to eye's on the big pond and musky fishing in general.

I am planning on fishing the Little J thursday evening if anyone is interested.  I haven't been down there in about a month and I think I may need one more trip before I hang up the trout gear.

Hell- this is the time you should be dusting off your Trout gear, but to each his own.
