no firsthand experience at the lake but people i know who have went there would vouch for the muskie. the way i understand it is there are plenty of them but not much of a trophy caliber fish. im sure they are in there but it seems like a numbers lake, not size.

Anyone catch panfish there lately. The numbers from the fish comish electroshock over the last few years says they should be getting prime size.

i talked to the warden last year and he said there's alot of small panfish 3" to 5" in the lake. great muskie bait. they had a panfish dieoff last spring but didn't know why.  I don't think i'd waste time fishing for panfish at tamarack. woodcock is a better bet

Nope nothing in Tamarack. No muskie. Stay away, total waste of time. Never go there. Nope none nada

Actually chuck, they are right when it comes to panfish, sure they are in there, but they are stunted.  It's not the same lake for panfish it used to be, but a good muskie lake.  There are lots of better alternatives in the area for slabs, perch and gills.
