sagebrush -> Lake Arthur (4/21/2008 6:46:41 PM)

Let's start a new thread on this guys.  Went out on Sunday, buddy caught one big wiper, I had one blow up on my lure.  I also caught two nice largemouths.  No bait around yet that I could see.  Couple more weeks and it should be great.

I also made a trip to Arthur.  Not as eventful as Sagebrush's.  I caught a bluegill...  I did have a nice take trolling a minnow harness.  Other than that, I spent half of my time messing around with my trolling motor and gas motor (turn the kill switch off before starting...[8|]).  Hopefully have the kinks worked out for my next trip though.  What a great day, as compared to what the weather men were predicting.  Helped keep the lake rather empty.

Anybody doing any good up at Arthur with the stripers? Had to put on a new roof and did not make it up this weekend. Seems like the crappie spawn should be going on right about now too...

Quantumman -> RE: Lake Arthur (4/23/2008 12:41:30 PM)

Was over last weekend.  The wife caught one small perch.  I got skunked.  Found a beautiful 3lb. largemouth dead along shore up Muddy Creek.  What a shame.  Hope to try again this weekend.

What is the lake temp that starts the alewive spawn ??? I thought it is 62 degrees ? Last I checked it was getting close hooked up a musky @ South Shore around 3 AM Saturday spit my lure after a few minute battle .
