bingsbaits -> Bird Bath (4/21/2008 6:52:45 AM)

I drive across Brokenstraw Creek every morning to go to work. Friday morning as I was crossing the cemetery bridge at west spring creek I saw a huge bird in the water flapping its wings. At first I thought mabee a goose had become tangled in fishing line. But as I watched I could see it was a young Eagle. Then I thought mabee he had just caught a fish and was trying to take off.. But that wasn't the case either. He was taking a bird bath. Was in about a foot of water and was flapping his wings and ruffling his feathers. After I got to watch him for a little bit he looked up saw me and jumped up on a little island and shook most of the water off and the took off and flew away..I like to see those birds.Sure are pretty.

Good to see them making a comeback, hawks too.

Love seeing the eagles, but the hawks gotta go.  Rabbits are getting scarcer and scarcer yet, god forbid don't mess with the hawks!  Shootin the cats helps too.
