Perch is real good. Crappie flakey. Perch firm, Gills sweet. If they spliced the three together the perfect eating fish. Still.... I can't decide.

perch are my personal favorite. depending on how you cook them they all can taste the same, but if you take all three and fry them with butter, perch is the least fishy tasting.

Crappie and perch are a toss up, gills have a different texture but are almost just as good........

While we are on the subject why not add your least favorite PA fish that you have eaten.

Mine.......LM Bass

A 14" crappie I got below the shenango dam. I fried it up with some perch and it was the fishiest thing I've ever eaten. That crappie did crappies everywhere no justice. But then again it probably swam from downstream by all the mills and what not. Dont eat to many different species of fish.

perch gills then crappie....i find crappies to be softer..i like the firmer flesh...now that being said i consume my fish from the hard water,m craps tend to be the softest/flakey

Neither of them taste as good as bald eagle but I prefer bluegill that have been iced or out of colder water.

Of the three listed, perch are probably my favorite fresh water fish.  Too bad they aren't all jumbos.

If they could breed a carp with a walleye would't that be great.

Carpeye.

A great tasting fish that gets to be 40lbs and can live, breed, and survive anywhere.

No more boxes of tackle to lug around just a loaf of bread and a can of corn.
