BWAngler -> Upper Allegheny (4/15/2008 12:32:20 AM)

Hello, a friend of mine owns property at the mouth of a fairly large creek on the Allegheny near Foxburg. I went fishing there for the first time in mid-march and didnt get a single hit, but the creek water looked like chocolate milk compared to the river because of all of the snow melt so im sure that played a part. This spot seems like it would be a great opportunity to get into some river walleye, samallmouth, and musky this summer. I am just looking for some pointers for fishing a creek mouth on the Upper Allegheny, as I have little experience doing so. Fishing on lakes I have had more luck fishing for Muskies at the crack of dawn and at dusk and for an hour or so after....would this be different for this location? Same thing goes for smallies and walleyes, what would I change from the techniques normally used in lakes? Thanks for the help and I'd be glad to share any erie and southwestern pa trout stream information wanted!
