one of my goals was to catch striper's from the river or tribs on a fly rod.
this year i told myself fly or bust.
today i put the kayak in the trib to do a little scouting: (the bevrage was for effect ;)

first striper of 2008 and on the FLY , SWEEET!!!!!
after awhile i paddle upstream to see what lies ahead.

and one heavy fish i lost that took me well into my backing. Quite sure it was a big striper.
