Mad respect to the Wings.  They played D like the Devils of the 90s without being as boring on offense.  The Pens are probably the team of tomorrow but I salute the team of today...

Congrats to the Wings for being the superior team. They deserved to win and they did. Pens had a helluva a year and should be proud as to how far they have come since 05. Hopefully they can keep their core intact and stay good for the next five or so years.
Regardless of the result of this series, Pittsburgh is still The City of Champions. Other places such as Philly and Buffalo can only dream about having the sports successes that this city has become accustomed to. Unfortunately for their respective fans, that does not look to change in the near future.

Hats off to the Red Wings, they proved that they are the better team!

Great series. The wings dominated for long stretches, and the Penguins for only short bursts, often too little too late.  You can't beat a club like the wings when they carry the play for such extended periods.  Thee Wings are the best team in the league.

And I'm glad the Penguins never, ever quit in this series.  A lesser team would've caved in game 5, but they rammed it up the Wings' ass in their building and made a statement to themselves and the league.  Then last night, battled until the literal last second when Hossa's rebound slid parallel to the goal mouth.  A fitting ending.  I'd have loved fo rthe Pens to win the cup, but their season was a huge success anyway, in my eyes.

Congrats to the wings for winning, congrats to the Pens for playing hard.  It was a great season for the Pens, but speaking from experience, in the end it will only be remembered as a missed opportunity at winning the cup. Opportunities to win Championships don't come around very often and its dissapointing when your team doesn't capitalize.  That's it...paint it however you want.  Nobody dresses out to be second.

Nice...thanks. It was a great hockey season..

Maybe Crysby can grow a set in the off season.....and hopefully Bettman will get replaced

Lose Malone,he is average at best.Keep Malkin,lose Ruutu or Laraque either or 50/50,leaning towards Ruutu.Keep Staal.Good young prospects coming up from the minors.Hossa not a chance,he is going to take top money.
