So you're giving up on Philly already?  Wow.  All that talk for so long then two games in and it's over... 

I actually think the Pens match up better against Detroit then they do Dallas.  Detroit will want to skate and as we're seen, you let the Pens skate, bad things happen...  No matter who's in the finals, it's going to be a good series.  All 4 teams left earned the right to be there.  No flukes in this group.

Pittsburgh's sen nothing like Detroit.  And Detroit has seen nothing like Pittsburgh.

That will be a great finals, and no matter what anyone says, there is no way to predict the outcome of that one.

You finally get into the lineup, and what do you do?  Turn it over because you can't clear the puck.  Talbot to Laraque off the end boards to Roberts, Downie failed to block the lane on the 42 year old, Roberts to Talbot wide open in fron tof the net, game winner.

There's your karma. Suspended 25 games before the season.  Too untrustworthy to let play in the ECF, until yesterday, and he blows the game singlehandedly, twice on one play!!!  You won't get back in the lineup, Mr. Downie.  And it couldn't happen to a bigger douche bag than you.

Status: offline 		Regardless if either Philly or Penz win this series - I believe Detroit wins it all - one of my first playoff predictions was that the cup will be given to the Western Conference.  Not giving up on the THUGSSSSSS.  You guys are reading far too into what I am posting.

The Buffalo Bandits have won several Championships in the NILL - National Indoor Lacross League so

If the Penz win, here is what the cost will be:

One dinner to Spoon
2 lunches to secretaries
One Penz t-shirt - to wear on campus each day for a week.

Status: online 		The Phlyers started the season 4-0 against the Pens. THEN came Hossa, Dupuis, and Gill, with Orpik finding his game as well, and the Phlyers are 1-5 ( including the playoffs ). I don't see anything, barring injury to Crosby, or/and Malkin that will reverse this new course. Biron has kept them in both games, so a lucky break, or breakdown by the Pens could give them a win, or two. I just don't see them taking 4 of 5 though.

Status: online 		Whatever Spoon, not even close.  The Pirates actually won a championship...Buffalo doesn't have a professional sports title...therefore...If you're a Buffalo fan, you know what sacrafice, determination, and pain.....ohhhhhhh....the pain...all feel like.  No way have Pittsburgh fans perservered anywhere near the amount that Buffalo fans have.  Believe me, I'd much rather have the championships than perserverance

One thing I just cannot stand is how the announcers on VS. seem to just love Philly.  I think they'd much rather see the Flyers and Redwings go head to head for the cup.  They kept saying how great Philly played last night, however, they still lost by 2 goals and totally dismissed the definite goal that was not counted!  Pathetic!  I think I'll just have to watch it with the sound off tomorrow night.

I understand where you are coming from regarding the call.  However, Conclusive evidence is more than "what you think happened," but rather, what can be shown to have happened.  Based upon the angles, and the time they took looking at it, it was the RIGHT call under the circumstances.  Just like OJ - most people thought he was guilty, but the Prosecution FAILED to prove that beyond a REASONABLE doubt.  Why do you think Marcia Clark lost her job?  She failed in it!!!!!!!

Yes, Philly lost by 2 last night, one being an empty net goal.   An empty net goal skews the final results. 

The VS announcers are MUCH better than Burt and Ernie.  Anyone with a brain cell would agree.

Status: online 		Actually I thought they called the game fairly consistantly. The one announcer thought it was a goal. But like Doc said (I can't believe I'm agreeing with him) the refs and replay booth made the right call. No conclusive evidence.

The one guy during the intermission said that the hooking call shouldn't have been called cause he turned himself into the hook. HUH? He put his stick between his legs, stood him up and kept his stick in there.

After rewatching some of the highlights this morning. The interference call when the guy plowed into Fleury from behind was really a bad call.
