I dont buy that!

ok.

Call me when Joe Thornton steps up in the playoffs.

heck, Jeremy Freaking Roenick (who I like by the way), the old man, had to singlehandedly beat the Flames in game 7 this year with 2 goals (including the game winner) and one assist.  Where was Joey?

I was responding to your statement that Joe Thorton is the "curse of the franchise".  He may not show up in the playoffs, I dont care, there are 19 other players on the team.

You're hillarious.  The "curse of a franchise" comment was not meant to be taken literally.  It was an analogy, since you didn't understand my first statement.

It's obviously too complicated for you, nevermind, carry on.

You're right D-nymph, your profound statement is just too deep for me to understand.  Please educate me great hockey guru.[sm=bowdown.gif]

MuskyMastr -> RE: NHL Playoff picks (6/3/2008 12:37:55 PM)

Hey Flash, how many points is a Detroit win worth since I picked them right off the bat?

FlashDance -> RE: NHL Playoff picks (6/3/2008 1:50:16 PM)

Four times their original seed, which was 1.
4 points. seems kind of lame.

Just doesn't seem right to have the cup winner worth so little.
I'll have to reconsider the scoring system next year.
Round 1 = seed

Round 2 = seed x 2

Round 3 = Round 2 x 3

Round 4 = Round 3 x 4

With that system, they'd be worth 24. (that seems better)

By the rules, though, D-nymph has it wrapped up.

Total Points so far in the cup Series 22.  Since the winner is locked up, lets see who would have had the tie breaker.
