hntm -> Orvis Clearwater 9 wt (4/6/2008 7:21:59 PM) Orvis Clearwater 9 wt 9 foot long.  I make my own rods now, so this thing is just hanging around.  I would like to sell or trade it for a good fly reel. I have fished it about 12 times over the last 3 years, and it has a dot of nail polish on it 20 inches from the butt.  It has an aluminum reel seat so it will work in saltwater as well. hntm -> RE: Orvis Clearwater 9 wt (4/12/2008 1:01:19 AM) I have a 5 weight that is 10' long.  It has a wood grip and fixed fighting butt.  What kind of deal do you have in mind. I have never had any experience with Orvis reels, would that reel work in salt? How's the weather in Pittsburg, I am from Meadville, but live in FL now. Hunter
