thanks

rapala11 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/6/2008 7:51:40 PM)

bogey, up north.

STEALYS4ME -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/6/2008 8:26:29 PM)

Great to hear but it looks like rain next weekend.

CAP78 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/6/2008 8:50:05 PM)

Fished the north end bays today for about 4 hours, black jack, red cross and didn't get anything.  Didn't look like anyone was doing any good.  Lake levels seem to be way up.

y-town -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/6/2008 9:41:59 PM)

Fished the causeway this afternoon, nothing happening. Tried the Ohio shore South and had a couple on. One fould hooked was a beauty , nice fight out of it.

MuskyMastr -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/7/2008 12:33:16 AM)

What is the water temp?

rapala11 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/7/2008 9:46:02 AM)

mosquito is 41, so would imagine that pymy is a few behind, at least.

CRAPPIE_SLAYER -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/8/2008 6:15:19 AM)

Had a guy in a boat tell me it was 46 on pymy sunday night. Still hitting the crappies at bridge 20, but catching alot of small ones.[:@] Where did the SLABS go???

wmjimmy08 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/8/2008 12:12:08 PM)

How are the crappies biting today, 70 degrees! Wish I was there instead of working. Please dont keep me in suspense. Thanks

Storm Warning 2 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/8/2008 3:14:33 PM)

Stewart's bay was FULL of boats on Sunday pm.  I don't think you could have squeezed another one in there.  Guess that's where the crappies are stacked up.

Vertical jigged the PA bridge that evening and got some really nice perch between the 3 of us on Vibe-Es, Sonars, Swedish Pimples, Northland rattle spoons, and a couple on sidewinders.  We got 1 18 1/2" eye and saw 2 others get caught that were both low 20s.  Seems to be an early am and late pm bite.

ready2fish -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/9/2008 5:45:17 AM)

I brought home 31 slabs Monday, all over 10 inches, threw back probably 30-40. Only saw 2 other boats, none where I was fishing.

STEALYS4ME -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/9/2008 1:20:20 PM)

Great to hear from you.  Keep the good posts coming especially when you get out to the big lake.

STEALYS4ME -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/11/2008 6:43:05 PM)

By the way watch fishing the causway the locals will throw there  line on top of u when your trying to boat off the bridge. i think they should make a law no fishing off the bridges when boats are down there.  I f anything give the boater the right of way.[:@]

olds-Pa -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/12/2008 5:07:25 PM)

Anyone out fishing latly..

CRAPPIE_SLAYER -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/16/2008 6:34:38 AM)

Was out last night. Caught about 20 crappies in 2 hours, but still alot of throwbacks. Only ended up keeping about 8 though. Keepers were nice fish, 11-12 1/2 inches.

CRAPPIE_SLAYER -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/16/2008 8:04:51 AM)

Since the ice came off i've seen ALOT of what i think are dead shad floating around and lying on the banks. I've seen this not only at pymatuning, but also at wilhelm.  Wonderd what causes this, and if it is normal.  Just got into fishing a few years ago, but i don't remember seeing this many dead fish lying around in the spring.

STEALYS4ME -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/16/2008 8:41:37 AM)

I know what your saying i seen many floating also dead.  Not sure what may have killed them

rapala11 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/16/2008 9:25:28 AM)

i don't think they are an issue.  shad are fragile and are real vulnerable to weather changes.  have been seeing this happen for years.

Storm Warning 2 -> RE: pyma report #2 (4/16/2008 11:39:48 AM)

Most of those are Alewife.

Seems to happen every winter and only to the mature ones.
