Guys
Fished it today Sat. 5/3 from 6:30 AM till noon and could not even get a bump. Fished Miller Farm area fairly high fast and brown. Saw a spinning guy get a couple on roster tail. No top water action that I could see.
Good Luck to all and have fun.

Thanks.  I've got my new wading shoes done up with shiny sheet screws, all set to go.  We'll need all the traction we can get.

Fly-boys, pack your streamers.  Sounds like we'll need them.

Either way, it'll be a good time.  Should be cool and dry, so a good day should be had.

"6 pounds of shrimp"

Mmmmmmm.

Packing shrimp and 'slaw, we'll have a full tank of gas, and we'll be wearing sunglasses.  We're on a mission from God.

Here is a USGS chart for Oil Creek:

http://www.oilcreekoutfitters.com/conditions.html

I may not arrive at Petroleum Center until noon, I'll be bringing pop + water.  Also, my buddy Dallas will not be able to attend this year because of the flu.  So I'm bringing paper plates, plastic utensils and napkins.

Egg Sac,

Thanks for organizing this year's outing.  I had a great time.  Thanks for all who provide the great food and excellent conversation.  It was good to met a few new folks and see some people I had not seen for quite awhile.  The fishing was not so great, with the water being high, but still I really enjoyed the time.  Special thanks to Jeremy for the tying tips and Dano for all the advice on everything from tying to casting.  I hope everyone made it home OK.  I missed 5 deer.  Thank goodness they were fast and I have good brakes.

Good fishing to all and see you next year.

Was nice to meet all you guys as well, like I said, your welcome to come fish here anytime. If you have any tying questions, just drop me an email.

I got home about 6pm, rushed to get the boat to the lake. Backed it in, forgot the plug, almost sank it. Got the water pumped out and headed out to a drop off. Started fishing a big huge worm on a carolina rig and landed two REALLY nice largemouths.

Hey Jack, let me know if that minnow works out for you.

Ill put our pics up tonight.

Hey guys,
This is repetitive, but I also wanted to say thanks.  The food was insanely good.  I woke up this morning and thought for sure I had turned into a piece of sausage after eating all that food!
Special thanks to Indisguiz for showing em a few things on the fly rod.  That was the best 10 inch rainbow I ever caught!
Though the fishing was on the fritz, I am glad to have met you all and look forward to fishing (and eating) together in the future.  I will email the pics to Bughawk so he can post them tomorrow.  Peace,
Alex

Guy's it was nice to meet everyone, even though that's about all that I was able to do.  Unfortunatly my dad had to get back to Maryland and he had to get me home to Erie first.  Bughawk, I think that I just missed you coming in as we were leaving.  Glad to hear that some fish were eventually caught, because it was looking a little bleak.

I know one thing, if anyone walked away hungry youre foolish because everything was EXCELLENT and there was enough to feed an army. Who brought the venison sticks? They ROCKED!

Yo!  That samich was tha BOMB!!!  Only thang missing wuz a Guinness Stout.  There's always the One Fly...

Fun times, ya'll!!!!  Too bad the stream was mocha.  We would've had one hell of a time with all those 'boos.   As it was, the day sure was nicer than the one before it.  There were plenty of new and old friends, tons of fishing talk, and mountains of great food!  Thanks for the donations!

The hand-off.

The smile.

"Cool!  Now I can become a bamboo-snob, too."

See you'z guyz next year for sure!  I vow to land a trout on that water with my Dad's 'boo!

Thanks to Egg for getting the show together.  John, you are welcome!  Fisherofmen, you did the work I just helped out a little. Special thanks to all who brought the food.  Jeremy, yes the minnow worked really well, really, really well.  Heavily weighted, and fished deep in the Little J just below Ironville + a 14 " brown and a 17" brown that actually chased the thing through the fast water and smashed it!  Now if you just add that little bit of pink and some green in with the black and I think we have ourselves a winner.   Maybe make a smaller version for Spring Creek and the Bald Eagle.  I'll take a dozen in different sizes.
Hope to see you all at the One Fly!

No need to thank me guys..Its everyone showing up that makes it special. All I did was remind others it was that time of year again. Since the first outing years ago only 3 have made it to every one of them Dano, Beerman and myself. If I would not have gotten this rolling one of the other 2 would have.Just wish more would start showing up as they have zero clue what they are missing out on.
