indsguiz, It is just a phase. He will come around soon and start trying fairly "standard" flies. I will have a few "special" flies for you to use. [:)] As for flies I have been working on, I have been having quite a lot of fun learning to tie dry flies. The elk hair caddis seems to be a good choice from what I have heard, so I have some of them. I even am tying some polywing caddis. The other flies are polywing BWO in #18 and #20. It was quite a challenge getting used to the tiny hooks. I also have some small #16, #18 and #20 pale yellow and light gray winged dries. I was going for a pale dun or sulfur... There are a few light cahills. I like the look of the royal wulf, so I have some of those. On the nymph and emergers, I have a number of fairly generic caddis nymphs and emergers. I have a few soft hackles to try. Basically, I am planning on having a wide variety of flies to try. Of course, since I am totally clueless as to fishing Oil creek if I actually catch anything it will be most likely by mistake.
