I didn't even know this lake was there, but its a decent size.  Is there any fish worth fishing for in this smaller lake in North Park?

they opened the lake to fishing about 5 years ago. it has some nice bass in thier. also has crappie, bluegill and catfish. you can use any nonmotorized boat on it too. do you know about hardies lakes or pine township community pond?

No, never heard of Hardies Lake or Pine Township community pond.  I'm always looking for new and different places to fish.  Where are they and how are the fish?  Thanks.

pine pond is off of the same road as marshall lake. that road is pearce mill rd. go past marshall lake going away from north park lake. go past route 910 a few miles and you come to pine police station and right across the road is pine community park. the pond is down in the valley and is catch and release. i have caught over 50 bass in a day there. use rubber worms, spinner baits, or large minnows.

hardies lake is right on west hardies road in hampton. leave north park using wildwood road go past the wildwood flea market. first red light make a left and go maybe two miles it will be on your left. a couple small lakes with a mixture of fish.

I fish this pond when I can't get my boat out and want to try for some bass. The big problem with this pond is that it is not managed well and 80% of the pond is covered in scum. It is great to fish in the spring and fall, but in the summer it is completely covered. But, I do enjoy going there in the summer with a SPRO Bronzeye frog and watching the bass explode on it. good times.

Hardies lake was a pay to fish lake back in the sixties and seventies.

To all,
Great information.  Thanks for sharing.  These ponds sound great.  I just retired and now finally have more time to fish.  I live in the north hills and will have to give them a try.  I assume a PA license is all I need.  Is that right?  Thanks again for sharing and any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.
