for your sake beerman, i hope they improve. i normally dont judge a team by preseason games but they looked even worse yesterday than they did in preseason. Dallas is a strong team, but i dont think the browns could have beaten anybody yesterday. edwards might want to sneak some "stick'um" on his hands next game.

I don't know about you guys....but I for one am tired of hearing every year that this is the season that the Brown's give the Steelers a run for the division. We hear it every year and just about every time, the Steelers put them down twice. Even some of the so called experts picked the Brown's to win the division this year. I would love to see the Browns be more competetive against the Steelers to help the rivalry get close to what it used to be, but until they go out and show something, how can you not pick the Steeler's?

Blame it on bad Mojo. They have been overrated for a couple years now and continue to dissappoint. Steelers on the other hand I think have overachieved for a good 3 years. Can't explain it.

IMO I thought Derek Anderson played a pretty good game.  Braylon Edwards didn't.  He dropped at least four passes, one that would have tied the game at 14.  Granted this Cleveland team is built to score points, mainly by the pass.  They are very rusty on offense and don't really have the talent on defense to be a consistent stopper.  They have to basically out score their opponent.  Right now the Browns are really hurting at wide receiver; of the top four receivers only Braylon Edwards is able to suit up.  Joe Jerivicious, Donte Stallworth and Josh Cribbs are all injured or at least they were last Sunday.  I know, I know I'm making excuses.  At least the defense is healthy LOL! (except safety Brodney Poole).  I'm really scared about this Sunday!

Maybe you should put the rest of the quote jagoff. Just like a republican, always taking things out of context. I said and I quote: "In order for the Texans to stay with the Steelers they are going to have to put points on the board and I don't see them scoring very often, especially because they will have trouble running and be forced to pass."

I feel for you and you definitely should be afraid. The Browns defensive line looks like a bust already and they burned all their draft picks trying to revamp their defense. The Browns will score more points this season when everyone is healthy, but I think the defense is just more of the same garbage we have seen in the past few years.

Track,

Face it...your record of providing expert analysis on these threads is really weak at best.  Even if you add the full verbage to your quote than what I extracted, the meaning is still the same.  It is akin to adding sugar and a rose to a pile of sh$t - you still have a pile of sh$t regardless of how sweet and pretty it may appear on the outside.  You have a propensity to state the obvious.  That is all.

Your comment there appears to be the pot calling the kettle "black."

For the record, I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat.  Gosh, you must need a hug from Mommy for being so wrong all the time.

He has changed his story so much you could probably go back and find it if you want. I think he is bi-polar because he will come on and start yelling at someone, then the next question is "So Beerman, how do you think the Browns did last week?"

What a goofball.

Oh...I would not count the Patriots out just yet.  While the Jets may be foaming at the mouth right now (as well as all the other AFC teams), the Pats certainly can still make a VERY strong push towards the playoffs.

For the record, I am NOT a Pats fan.  I probably loathe them as much as the next person.  Just being a bit cautious about the whole thing.

hes been changing his story and talking out of his arse since 9/26/2003. all of his posts prove it. bi-polar, possible. narcissistic, definitely. worst part about him is he's teaching kids to be just like him. thank goodness he had to go all the way to minnehaha to do it. doesnt say much for their academic standards.

Face it, you think football is a sport where a bunch of guys in dresses kick a round ball into a goal. Stick to what you know and from what I have seen you post on this board that isn't much. I don't see your predictions anywhere in this thread and considering I was 2 for 2 this past week, maybe you should pay more attention to what I post. Get a life and more importantly please don't post unless you have anything to add to the football conversation.

You're right you were 2 for 2. So was I. Let's make it more interesting.

Steelers @ Browns Pit favored by 6 points over/under is 45. What is your picks?

I got Pit winning by more than 6 and total score between the two under 45.

Vegas make it a lot harder, but more fun.

I'll count them out. They probably can't even win the weak division they play in. As for the Super Bowl, they better buy their tickets to Tampa now because that is the only way they will get in the stadium.
The great Bill Belichick will get exposed for the fraud that he is.

Oh yeah Track - you chose two really tough games to predict - Steelers and Dallas.  No offense to Beerman, but Dallas was a sure bet there, and so were the Steelers.  You have a lot to be proud of there.

Your propensity to resort to name calling is telling of your maturity.  When you wish to drop that, perhaps we can discuss things.  Until then, go hang-out in some sandbox with the other kiddies.

Listen Grendel I am all for talking football with anyone, but if you want to be petty and try to pick apart the wording of my analysis rather than provide your own rebuttal or opinion about football I am going to continue to treat you like a baby. What I said in the quote you tried to pick apart still holds true, the Texans defense could not stop the Steelers, the Texans offense could not run against the Steelers and they were forced to pass. Your propensity to blindly criticize, rather than provide a better solution or explanation is telling of your maturity.

Aformer colleague of mine is just like you.  She was ALWAYS right and everyone else was habitually wrong.  She often wondered why no one would sit with her at the cafeteria.

You know what you said in your original post, and you knew what you meant.  Please stop trying to twist and turn things in your favor once again.  We are ALL on to your little trricks and schemes.  Can't you simply give up trying to convince us otherwise?

Pick TWO REALLY tough games and see how well you do.  Oh...for the record - you scored both games much closer than they really turned out to be.  So you did not do that well of a job predicting.

27-10 Steelers over the Texans.
Cowboys 21 Browns 20

Finally, be careful how you decide to treat people...associations run deep..."know what I mean Vern?"

Well it seems you are about as indecisive as Bush. I make a decision and right or wrong I stick with it and you spend your days telling us why I or someone else is wrong. I have come on here several times and admitted I was wrong. I criticized Cowher prior to his Super Bowl win and I came back admitted I was wrong about him and I am still here now. After the spygate incident, I admitted I was wrong about Belichick being a genius coach, and until he proves otherwise without the aid of a camera I will feel the same way. So take it any way you want, I admit when I am wrong and remind those who like to argue with me when I am right. You on the other hand are like that kid in the back of the classroom that fails to grasp the concepts but likes to point out a minute detail the teacher was incorrect about. Thanks for the laughs, but arguing with you is obviously useless since you don't want to talk about the Steelers or Browns.

Nice Goby!!!!!

Track,

You are right for once...I do not want to talk about the Steelers and Browns per se since I could care a less if either team defected to the CFL!

What I want you to addess is taking up Goby's offer of a more difficult prediction, and discussing how you claim successful prediction when your scoring schemes were so far off?

Stick to the issues proposed not one's you wish to address.  Do you do that in class as well?  A student will ask you a question and you proceed to answer something else without adressing the original?  It is a slick tactic but I am guessing that the ol dogs on these boards are on to your schemes.
