I don't know if that's it or not and I realize it is just pre-season but for a team to look that bad even in a meaningless game is a sign that something isn't right.
I mean they were scary bad in that first quarter. They looked worse than they did when the Steelers beat them 51-0 in their first game back in the league.

Someone calls you out on a bet you made 3 years ago and you don't pay up. Call me whatever you want but you didn't pay up. Who is the QUEEN?

You're the queen of welching IMO.

"Wow, it took you all of a week to backtrack from your original statement about the Steelers signing Leftwich. Shocking to say the least."

Raps

I am not sure what you are talking about, I said the Steelers signing Leftwhich was a good move and then I said he looked rusty which is true and now I am backtracking according to you. I still believe signing Leftwhich was a good move and after he gets back in playing shape he should be fine.

First of all Goby Queen, I am not sure what you are talking about. I think you may be talking about Commander who actually owes me money from a bet in 05, but I am not sure. I have blocked his posts since he is obviously not worth arguing with so I may have missed something. That is all, you may go back to your job at the drive thru window.

i believe he's talking about the old boards where you called everybody out on a $100 bet that the Stillers couldnt win the super bowl. i ACCEPTED that bet and offered to make it more. you then wriggled out and then stated you had your sisters mothers uncles brothers best friends cousin place a bet for you on the Stillers in Vegas. this year you make a thread about how "Gambling is not the answer" and is the ruinization of cities. he just doesnt know you yet trackstat. he hasnt seen you wriggle and change stories long enough to accept your armchair quarterback comments.

Yeah, you're blocking him since you owe him money. What a pussy you are. If you bet the man, pay him. You won't though, because you enjoy more calling other people names. How proud you must be. Call me whatever, you not paying says it all, you punk ass no paying rat.

First off, at least spell his name correctly. Secondly, how could signing someone who is slow and out of shape be considered a great move which is actually what you said.
I think a good move would be for you to consider giving your expert opinion on something other than football.

Keep in mind the Browns got destroyed their first game of the year last season and came back to a 10-6 record.  Being that this was a preseason game it means absolutely nothing.  It was their 2nd game.  31 other teams would love to have Brady Quinn as their backup.  I'll be much more worried if they perform like this in their first two games of the regular season, not the preseason.

I don't owe Commander one cent and the sooner you realize this the better for all of us. I offered Commander several opportunities for a bet and he didn't take them, he just made up his own bet and said he agreed. I never agreed to the bet on Commanders terms, so if anybody owes money it is Commander. I blocked Commander for a similar reason I will block you if you don't settle down. Commander just talks out of his arse and it is a waste of time talking to him. That is all.

I will spell Leftwhich's name any way I want thank you. Signing him was a good move because he is a proven starter in the league and the Steelers needed a backup. He was the best of what was available at the time. The reason he is slow and out of shape is because he was not playing football. Thanks again for the wonderful insight regarding the Steelers and the Browns. I love how you and Queenie just like to attack me rather than discuss football. Maybe Queenie and Raps = Commander who knows

I'd love to discuss football. It's just a bit difficult when everything you say is changed in your next sentence to keep yourself from looking like a fool.
Sorry to tell you it's not working.
It's hard to take someone seriously as a Steeler fan when they can't even spell the names of the current players correctly. Signing Leftwich was nothing more than a sign of desperation. It was not a great or good move and the team probably knows that by now. Don't be surprised if they release him and go with the rookies as a backup until Batch can get back.
The mere fact that you think he is a good quarterback tells me all I need to know about your assessment of football talent.

Sorry Raps nothing has been changed on my end. I said signing LEFTWHICH was a good idea and then said he looked slow and out of shape in the pre-season game. Commenting on ones performance during a game and changing my opnion of him as a player are two different things. I never said he now sucks because of how he played, I just said he did not look very good in the game and let's hope he gets into shape. The mere fact that you think there are better backup qb's than LEFTWHICH available right now shows me how much you know about football. Let's thank the Lord the Rooneys are managing the Steelers and not you. Who would you have signed other than LEFTWHICH? Notice I am still spelling his name wrong, it bothers you doesn't it?

Once again, you said it was a great move not a good move. Do I need to have the court reporter read back your testimony? Personally, I wouldn't have signed anybody. I would have taken the chance that Ben could make it through the first 2-3 games unscathed.
Again, don't be surprised if that's not exactly what they do.

I agree, they couldn't have looked any worse.  I do give the Giants credit though, they were without their three best receivers last night.  Thankfully it's still preseason.  Maybe a good a$$ whipping will motivate them.

Well there is some good news for the Steelers, it looks like Polamalu is back and Hartwig is going to be the starting center. This is a big boost for the Steelers secondary and I seriously think with the Steelers schedule, the entire season hinges on the health of Polamalu and the performance of the offensive line. The Steelers will be facing the premier passing offenses all season and they need to bring pressure or it will be a long season.
