Yeah, the Beagles. Naaaaaw, they'd still be a dog.

Anybody ever take a gander at Vic Carrucis power rankings on NFL.COM? This week, the great one makes the point that it's official, nobody can stop the Giants running game. I guess holding a team that averages over 200 yards a game on the ground to 83 yards qualifies the Steelers as a nobody. Then he goes on to state that the Steelers need to be worried about their sore armed qaurterback because all he has done is throw short passes the past two games. Guess the fact that Nate Washington caught a pass for more than 50 yards the four games  prior to the last two and the Colts and Chargers may have made a logical decision to not get beat deep by him or anyone else lends itself to Big Bens sore arm. And this guy gets paid big bucks for his analysis. What a dolt.

Add to that how many balls washington drops... I bet he drops 4 for every ball he catch's.

I saw on ESPN that the Bengals will start be without two starting offensive linemen. In fact because of injury they are down to their third string left tackle. Watch out for James Harrison!

Cold -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:34:08 AM)

Just a random guess for tonight: 20-9 Steelers, with the TDs coming from Parker and a short pass to...maybe Spaeth, or possibly Moore out of the backfield.  Harrisson racks up 3 sacks and forces a fumble on another.

I'm usually way wrong on my predictions, but it seems like a fair estimate to me.

Deadbolt401 -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:39:29 AM)

Johnson is out too....

Imagine that.

The bengals are annoying to even hear about.

pxatim -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:56:54 AM)

Parkers gonna decimate the Bungals. They'll be to worried about trying to take Ward out and he'll be gone. I can see him and Santonio having a great night.

37-3 Stillers

dru2112 -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:57:18 AM)

ocho cinco is out of the lineup, he's no good anymore anyway.

this is either gonna be a steeler blowout, or a steeler choke job against a one win team.....both of which they seem to do on a regular basis.
not that i care, i'm not a fan of either team.

LDD -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 12:30:24 PM)

The steelers will have like 30 sacks tonight.  They'll win, but it might not be by a big margin if they decide to play down.

beerman -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 5:19:05 PM)

Hopefully the temps are below freezing or the field will be really bad.
Steelers win 24-3. Harrison scores a TD.

thought the game was in cincy, just found out its in the burgh.....probable bad field conditions mean low scoring game/turnovers
i'll say 14 - 6 pittsburghers

elephanthead -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 7:36:58 PM)

It's early in the game but looks like i'm wayyyy off haha

dru2112 -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 9:35:23 PM)

weather's getting too ugly for this game to be a high scoring affair

FlashDance -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 10:46:33 PM)

how bad is Paul Ernster???

Think I'm going down to Steeler offices tomorrow and request a tryout to be the punter.

pxatim -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:01:51 PM)

Seriously... he's terrible

I know for a fact I can punt better than him

spoonchucker -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:07:05 PM)

So can I. In 60+ degree weather, and without 11 angery men coming toward me, or 100's of thousands of folks watching.

pxatim -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/20/2008 11:39:56 PM)

Yeah what did he avg tonight.. 28yds... wait maybe that was his longest punt of the night.

D-nymph -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/21/2008 10:13:27 AM)

Four, count em four, knee injuries last night, two for each club.

Seriously, Rooneys, the piece of crap field you think gives your boys a "home field advantage" isn't cute any more.

beerman -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/23/2008 10:17:03 PM)

I missed the Browns game today....heard they looked bad and lost, LOL!

thats almost every week[:)]. maybe they can get frye back[;)].

beerman -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/23/2008 10:43:37 PM)

Trade: Braylon Edwards for Santonio Holmes.

Both drop the easy ones. Take your pick!

*commander* -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/23/2008 10:59:34 PM)

tough pick. holmes will probably end up in prison for something. edwards MIGHT make a good defensive back. id rather have holmes since he'll probably end up getting aquitted(sp). at this point it doesnt seem like edwards will be able to learn to catch.

beerman -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/29/2008 9:49:00 PM)

I have a Fantasy football dilemma; play QB Matt Cassel against the Steelers or QB Peyton Manning against the Browns? I'm leaning towards Manning.

Anybody notice the new turf at Heinz Field during the Pitt/WVU game? It looked great.

The only thing the Cleveland Browns have to play for is pride and being the spoiler. Remember they can claim that they're the only team to defeat the defending champs, the NY Giants this season. I predict WR Edwards and QB Anderson will finally click this Sunday against the Colts. The Browns O-line will slow down that Indy pass rush. I would like to see a Josh Cribbs return for a TD. Browns in an upset 27-24!

4:15 game;
New England in a shootout 37-36.
Pittsburgh in a defensive battle 13-9.
Or....somewhere in between!

*commander* -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/29/2008 11:16:52 PM)

stillers win
browns lose

looks like the national felons league may be inducting plaxico burress into their hall of shame[8|].

you gotta play peyton manning. NOT so fast on the matt cassel bandwagon, he is after all matt cassel, i don't care how many 400 yard games he has in a row.

i'm not a steeler fan but i think there is a good possibility they go to new england and lay a smackdown on the pats

*commander* -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/30/2008 7:32:30 PM)

good call. they certainly layed the "smackdown." should be next to ZERO "ben" complaints for a week[:D].

great day for football. only thing better would have been the giants and the ravens getting beat.

Rapscallion -> RE: 2008 Cleveland Browns ~ Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Others (11/30/2008 10:12:34 PM)

Awesome, awesome win. Total statement game. Two fold. One, the Steelers can beat New England albeit minus Brady. Two, Belichick needs Brady much more than the other way around. Like I said from the beginning, would have never won the first Super Bowl if he and the other genius Pioli didn't luck into Brady. The crap we have been hearing for years about how they are so special because they can replace any part/player with another one off of the bench and still play at an elite  level is just that. Crap. He's only a genius coach with a superstar quarterback watching his back.
