Can any body tell me how do you get one . Any tips on fishing this lake . I fished it when it first opend , and did well . With the high cost of gas and shrinking buget looking at close to home waters . Thanks for any help Ken

Rodbuilder i hear ya about the budget. if you are looking for a launch permit. you might be adle to get one at the lake if the sheriff is in the office. i have done it that way before and sometimes he is not there so your left scratching your head on weather or not to try to put your boat in. The for sure way is to stop by the court house. On the side. Same door you enter to get your doe license and get to the sheriff dept. you need to take the elevator up a couple of floors to the parks and rec dept. they have them in the office. I think they are $7. make sure you have your boats reg #. and make/model. Good luck and maybe i will see ya on the lake. ill be in a blue 20ft Lund SportAngler.

Yes, you still can get a launch permit from the Washington County Sheriff's Deputy on duty. You will receive a pink receipt that will serve as your permit until your sticker arrives in the mail. You can also contact the Parks and Recreation office at (724) 228-6867 to request an application. Fishing maps of the lake are also available upon request.

try this: click on the link below.It will give you a application and info about the par. Print out the application and take it with you. It is $7.50 for resident launch permit. which allows you to launch out of ten mile creek park to.

Yes there still was ice on Cross Creek as of today. Call the Parks Office at 724-228-6867, they'll mail you an application, or you can stop in the office which is now on the 1st floor of Courthouse Square, Room 101, or you can get your permit from the deputy on duty at the lake, although as someone mentioned you only receive a receipt, the sticker will be mailed to you. If you chose to get your sticker at the lake and there is no deputy around go ahead and launch, check back at the office when you finish fishing.

Maps of the lake can be downloaded at site mentioned above www.co.washington.pa.us, go to departments section of the site and scroll down to Parks & Recreation. Boat Permit Applications cannot be downloaded from the site as they are a three carbon form

I'm sure there is. You looking to ice fish, because I dont think its permitted at cross creek...could be wrong on that though.

NO ice fishing on cross creek lake. It is well marked also! i wouldnt try it.

The Washington County Bassmasters has a tournament scheduled for March 16th or 17th, I can't remember that exact date. I would guess its on their web site. There are also a few other tournaments scheduled for the end of the month and into early April, again I don't remember the exact dates or the hosting clubs. I'll try to get the info for you tomorrow.

Ice fishing isn't permitted at Cross Creek.
