funny that "masterflyman" and "steelheadfillet" signed up the same day, with the same name

actually my Dad posts under steelheadfillet and I post under masterflyman.
think what you want.
again the reason this site has gone straight downhill since I joined.

I just dont like guys making death wishes on my dad.

why didnt he take you fishing?

I'm actually in the military right now. Wish I could go.
I hope to get some in around the holidays. This time of year its tough being so far away.

believe what you want, I only posted after you wished he would die in a fire.
Its my dad, how would you like it if someone said that to your dad?

you said it was a joke, I'm not laughing and I'd bet noone else is either.
someone who states things like that have mental problems period.
get some help before you get yourself in trouble, its just a matter of time.
I hope its soon.

i never said i wished he would die in a fire...

i said i wished he wouldn't come back
i also said that i half heartedly wish that he would punch someone on the reservation, become incarcerated, and goto trail
I did say that i thought about telling him "to die in fire" (which is a figure of speech)... but i decided to nicely ask him not to come back

i'm still not buying your BS "my dad" story

"Die in a Fire"

"The phrase became popular in early 2006 following a news story that drew national attention to a policy by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission of arresting drunks inside bars. The TABC began receiving a large volume of hate mail from around the country, and in a follow-up story TABC spokesperson Carolyn Beck was quoted as saying, "I don't really understand the hateful outrage. I don't understand, 'Die in a fire'.""

There are good numbers of wild steelhead on the Catt. Should be even more if the Dam gets demolished...And I can assure you that there is no "salt" handy.

yessir, no salt.  Just radioactive silt.

smolt return opinions are like guys on fly fishing sites telling people about all the wild fish they are catching because they are fishing a stream not stocked by the state , but what they don't realize is that stream runs into a stocked stream and fish do have fins!!!!

Well, back to the subject.
fished a few tribs of a big trib. Decided to tone down my offerings and pinch the hook closed, I wanted to see if
any smolts/par were still present in Nov. size 20 black knat fly caught 3 par in the 4-5 inch range. sort of like
native brookies.
I am convinced that a signgent population of wild steelhead exist in our tribs.
At least more than 1% as some re-quote.

But we do know for a fact that 3 out of 4 steelhead make up 75% of the total steelhead population.

i KNOW "some" repro takes place.
we seined some fry  out of a deep hole one summer on a small creek

I also know there's "some' natural repro on other creeks.
how much I haven't a clue.
I'm sure more on some creeks and less on others.

here's a thought no one has mentioned (unless i missed it)
many sections of creeks are no trespass.
and some of those sections  get no angling pressure.
I'm reasonably sure there's natural  repro happening in some of those spots
