I have been off the water since spring. Been in the bass boat all summer,had acouple of pro bass tournaments. They fell in during the salmon run.First time in twentytwo years I never made it up once.

Sat had the urge to go for a ride! Hit mid river in the am. I had my aera all to my self I caught four small skippers on the pink worm. Around 8am decided to go for a walk by then all the good spots had 5 to 6 people in them. Made it to my low water spot and they were there.It took me allitle while to get dialed in again,but ended up with two browns one about 6lbs the other about 2lbs. And steelies a mixed bag lots of three to 7lb fish with a couple of nice slammers mixed in. I did have one really big one on that left me with my jaw hanging,wrapped in mono and my float in a tree.I love fall steelhead!!!

good trip it sounds like. i'm finally getting up agian this weekend. can't wait to hit some silver slammers

. It was so much easier to get out on Saratoga when I was working at Lake Lonely. Now I can't even get out of work in time to do the evening tournys. Been doing alot of smallmouth and walleye fishing in the rivers. Just got a new Yammie on the Lund, so she is ready for some great lakes and striper fishing next year.

How did the tourneys treat you this year?

I got a new toy to a ranger z520 w merc 250proxs. I did ok made finals for bassmasters out of plattsburg,had great chance of winning but blew trim pump in the 5fters in the am. Cashed in 6 local tx won on lake lonley. Want to fish all the flw series this year but 25k in entry fees not going to happen.

I think Bass are ugly, but would like to catch a few Walleye sometime. Sounds like you guys got it down pretty good.
