I was wondering how far upstream the steelhead have gone up both walnut and elk. Are both creeks blown out today because of all the rain?

I'm not busting your ballz, dUud, I promise.
But this question gets asked a lot, over and over.
And that's no biggie to me..

BUT...I'm curious, since it does get asked so often..

If someone didn't say,

"yea, there's a bunch of fish all the way up to XYZ spot"

would you guys  ever go look for yourself?

You know, if youinz would take a drive upstream and look without someone pointing them out to you, you just might be rewarded with fish and ROOM to fish for them.

Once the "word gets out" on the 'net that there's oodles of steel up to XYZ spot, the crowds are sure to follow.

maybe that's a good thing to our friend MackJ, but it's a buzzkill to most of us that take a chance to see if it's "worth it"  on our own initiative and find fish mup thar

My crystal ball says they are fishable today (Sunday)
and if not for the gun show I have a table at this weekend, I'd be there.

Probably running a tad fast and maybe a bit swollen,
(and you ain't gonna be able to count the gobies in a 2 foot deep hole)
but my guess is it's sho-nuff fishable
