Have not had a lot of time to hunt with 2 jobs and school. Got in the stand around 3 yesterday. No deer, 6 o clock comes rolling around and I hear a buck running a doe behind me, sure enough doe pops out to my right from the creek bed, trots directly to me, buck is right behind her running hard. She takes off, he stops in front of my tree at 5 yrds, I decided to pass him up. He dogged the doe past me out to about 45 yrds and stopped, then started to mill around eating acorns. I started thinking, that I did the same thing last year this same week and kicked myself in the **** as I never killed a buck after I passed up a decent 8 last year. Got mad that I did'nt let this deer have it and he was almost out of sight. Grabbed my grunt call and grunted. He stopped looked back and continued after the doe, grunted again, he stopped and looked again. Turned and kept walking away, now hes at about 60-65 yrds, finally I snort wheezed and the buck turns and is on a dead sprint at me. He comes barreling in, stops at 15 yrds and starts tearing up a tree. I almost couldint believe it, drew the bow and let the spitfire do its work. Hit hit a bit high but caught the off lung, he went about 100 yrds and piled up. He's a 9 point, would be a 10 but the G4 on the right is only about a half inch, not my biggest buck with a bow by any means but I was tickled pink. More time to chase steel now. Krott

It's better wondering if you should of while eating loin than wishing you would of while standing in line at the meat market. That's a decent buck for Pa. Congrats

Thanks guys.

I'll be there, had a rough night last night, ready for another one.

You bet Mike, more time to sit on the bank of the creek and relax too. Get your sacks ready.

Mo is known for sitting on the bank and not fishing. haha

Skip, killed him right on the Millcreek line. Nothing like hunting neighborhood bucks if you can outsmart them.

Dude,

Trying to fish and keep up with Diamond D and his ho's aint easy.  Need a break at some point.  Plus, I think we exceeded the recommended amount of libations the night before.

Like skip said, why you so worried about sax??
