Hearing rumors they are going to close the access area at the north end of the lake? Any one else hear about this? Whats up?!?!?!!?

Hope they don't........it's the only public launch on the Lake!

Hey Loby, how you been? It was reported in the Community News that the Sportsmen Club was urging everyone to contact the legislator to urge him/her to vote against pending legislation to close the boat launch, but that was it, no other explanation....I wonder if it has something to do with the Park or the Snowaters developement? If I'm not mistaken, that land wasn't owned by the Fish Commission, but they leased it from the Park....I think it was a 999 yr lease, so it should have a few years left....

what about fireman's? We launch there also.

Even so, I cant imagine the traffic that launch would get, it would be a mess if thats the only launch.

Closing the PAFBC launch would really mess up public access to that lake, just what the Conneaut Lake Homeowners Association wants.
Kill the weeds, close the public launch, I see where that place is heading.

Maybe they are closing the launch to fix it? I know that launch has been in need of repair due to it silting in? Just being hopefull

If it was leased from the park, the bankruptcy judge could ( and might have ), nullify the lease with the stroke of a pen.

By Homeowners Association, I think you mean the Conneaut Lake Aquatic Managament Association....their the ones that spray the weeds all the time...as far as the launch being silted in, if people would'nt power load their boat, they wouldnt have that problem....in spite of all the signs, there is always some nimrod that tries to get his boat up the last 10 inches so he doesn't have to winch, and all that does is wash the end of the ramp out....
