Sheer will power! He was also going down hill. You forgot he had 2 good back legs. I found a doe that was hit by a car about 3 years ago. She had "walked" up hill on 4 stumps(all 4 legs were broken below the knee) 80 yards from the road. She was walking on 4 bones!! Can you imagine doing something like that?

Noplacelikehome your right about 1 thing when an animal is dying they can do just about anything! Its amazing to me the sheer pain they must be in yet they act like it is nothing!
