I take my niece there sometimes when we visit my parents who live up the road. It is very small. Seems like it should hold some decent bass action, however i have only invested time catching bluegill with the niece.

Fished it last week. Just fished for gills. Lots of snags and stuff. Did get 14 in an hour all small. John

Leopold Park is on Rte. 30, north of Clinton. It is small, when compared to the other places arround, e.g. Raccoon is 9 miles to the north. no boats allowed. Park at the bottom of the hill to the left and walk up the ramp.

I have been there maybe 5-6 times this year -- caught a few cats and gills, but that's about it. It's not a bad place to try out lures or to take a youngster for their first time or two - nice concrete pier-like place to fish from, or walk along the path around the lake/pond. Bring your own chair.

I have been told there are some nice bass there, transplanted from Raccoon, but I can't verify that.

I prefer to fish for bass and walleye, but if it hits my hook, then I fish for it.

I have seen bass in there but never caught any. We usually go there for gills to take down to the river.
