Good stuff Bings, now you just gotta get a couple bugger barns to put all those in!

steely34 -> RE: Addicted (10/27/2009 8:51:12 PM)

Bing - Great work there buddy. I remember the previous post you put up sometime ago where you started on some tying materials and equip. that was passed onto you. You've shown here just what persistance can do. Real fine looking buggers my friend. I think I warned you on that previous thread that this tying thing can become an obsession and it looks like you took it to heart [:)] and that's a good thing. Tying has been an addiction of mine for some time now so I know how you're feeling. We can never stop learning with this. Thanks for the great pics!!!! Really enjoyed 'em!

Real nice, The white ones in the 3rd picture down are awesome, I might have to tie some. You're right about it being addicting, before you know it you'll have hundreds of dollars invested in feathers, lol

D-nymph -> RE: Addicted (10/28/2009 9:39:53 AM)

nice Bings.

You're totally screwed now.

Watch the money fly out of your wallet, and the feathers pile up on the floor.

Hey Bings, I always enjoy your walleye pictures in the NW forum. I don't think I know of anyone who pulls them out of Pymie like you you do.

I don't know too much about walleye fishing - are there any times of year they are shallow enough (perhaps later winter/early spring) for you to make some streamers and strip for 'em?

That would really be something... [:D]

bingsbaits -> RE: Addicted (10/28/2009 2:24:51 PM)

Harry, there could be a couple opportunities down there to catch eyes on the fly..
Some fellas (Rapala11) have waded and done well there over the years.Gravel bars in spring or fall..
The Linesville end in the timber in the spring..They pic up eyes while crappie fishing off the timber. 3-4 feet of water.
A guy might be able to strip a clouser or some type of minnow imitation..

The guys at the spillway in spring "swear" those eyes stacked up in the cement hole are biting their Vibees.
You might be able to work a stream mouth about that time of year....

All conjecture on my part, all most all my eye fishing at Pymy is done deep...

"Honest officer, he bit it right there with the end of his tail! See!!!"

harrypelles -> RE: Addicted (10/28/2009 2:54:20 PM)

I imagine one would do much better with "traditional" walleye-ing methods. Though, I may have some streamers stacked up by that time and might as well try in the shallows where you pointed out. Even one would be fun, just to have the knowledge that one of the dumber eyes fell for something on my long rod. [:D]
