gizmo and I watched a guy at the legion hole ,using a small indicater and streamer, line many fish.
He watched his fly untill it got under the fish and lift. No one caught fish till he left.
So you can snag using an indicater also.

------Never argue with dumb or drunk people. They will beat you down to their level of thinking and win everytime, they are more experienced at this low mentality.

thanks steelheader.  this was excellent and often forgotten.  the one fly this year was my first fooray onto elk.  i have never seen so many fishermen and women in one place.  seems as though all were civil, i could just imagine when one loud or selfish person could mess up a lot of fishing time for a lot of fishermen.  mean people, like that russian, suck.

--- Malkin was the man for Conference Finals! Did you fish with him and Gonchar and try to give a few pointers so he could catch steelhead? I saw the photo where they were holding the carp so I figure it was April sometime this last year?

I observed an ethnic individual on Walnut on Friday morning that appeared to be snagging fish. He was accompanied by a younger male although they were not fishing (snagging) together. I reported it to the deputy fish officer who was partolling the lower end of Walnut. The deputy then advised 2 guys dressed as fishermen and they proceeded upstream to investigate. I don't know the outcome.
