Location: Walnut Creek Access Area (From Manchester Bridge Down)
Time: 11:00AM - 3:00PM
Temp: 57-61 Deg F
Weather: Mostly Overcast

Water was nearly perfect flow today and with great visibility. Overcast skies made the bite particularly strong. The fish are pretty well spread out, with most holes full of fish. Pretty crowded with lots of anglers, both on the wall and on the stream. Even with the crowds and tangles, everyone is very polite, helpful and willing to give and take advice.

Baits of the day (that I used/saw/queried) were flies, egg-patterns, small rubber imitation terrestials and minnow patterns. But realistically, pretty much everything will catch fish I think. While fishin eggs, I managed to hook one of those Berkley Power Bailt rubber minnows, complete with jig head and all! Can't beat catching free tackle - LOL Bit off my egg and tied it on and caught a fish within 10-12 casts with it! Can't beat it... I reckon live emerald shiners (if you could get em) would produce pretty well.

Fish are well into the Manchester hole with reports of some fish starting to pool down at Route 5. Most of the large numbers of fish however are still north of the Manchester Bridge to the lake. There are fish starting to make it upstream with the rain we've had, but we could use a little more rain to get things moving.

P.S. Make sure you double check your latch on your flybox to make sure it closes tightly.. I must have found about 25-20 files today strewn about the creekside. At least my eyes are still workin.. lol

Good luck all and be safe out there! Make sure your Knots are tite!
