Status: offline 		My favorite walleye rod is a 7' M Fenwick HMX with a Shimano Symmetre on it.  This setup works very well for me when im jigging or live bait riggin on the Allegheny River.  I usually run #8 and sometimes #10 line on it.

Status: offline 		I like a 6'6 ugly stick light topped with a pfluger president filled with 20# stealth (6# diameter) with a 2-3' section of 8# floro attached by a barrel swivel I can throw live bait, jig, or run cranks on french creek with out problems.

Status: offline 		Medium/heavy 6'6" Gander Mountaion Pro select guide series IM8.  Less than $50 on sale and a no question exchange if you break it.  I broke one off a tree after using it for a couple years and they didn't ask a single question.  Just walked me back to the new rods and handed me one off the rack.

Status: offline 		6'2  fish egale or a 6'6 st. Croix  medium action with a sahara spinning real with 6 lb on em you can feel the jig all the way down to 30 feet. I pound em at highland park all winter with these set ups.

Status: offline 		Yea i agree lundking thats all i fish with but the old mans fish eagle is an awsome rod. they are really sensitive and have a strong backbone to handle some of the big carp and cats you can get into when jiggin for walleye in the rivers. But hands down in my eyes St. Croix is by far some of the best rods out there.

Status: offline 		6.6 medium action st. croix premier and a 2500 shimano symetre for tossing rapalas or a 6.6 medium light, same reel for jigs or bait.  trilene xl 6 lb. test.

Status: offline 		I have a St. Croix and a Gander Mountain.  I had to fight with the fiance about who was going to be aloud to use the Gander Mountain.  I finally bought her, her own GM rod now things are good again at the home front.  St.  Croix is an excellent rod but mine didn't even have a reel on it for one whole summer because I prefer my GM that much more.

Status: offline 		the gander pro selects are hard to beat for the $ great im8 sensitivity for under 50 bucks.. i use the little 5.6 for eye crappie small trout. The little 750 sedona with 4-6lb fireline is perfect combo using small presentations
