IS there any chance of some big ones making it through the drain. I remember there being some decent bass and even a muskie or two in years past down in the creek, but they probably came over the dam.

im not sure how the drain works or the size but it must be large enough to drain the water faster than the creeks can fill the lake. im sure some larger fish will go thru. eventually it will be 3 creeks meeting at the drain. a guy stopped by the bait shop the other day and said he was going after a 50+ lb snapping turtle he saw. he came back with a 38# and said that it wasnt the big one. i wonder if catching the bigger fish is harder right now because of the concentrated bait fish?

Went by there today to check it out.  Waters down atleast 5 feet, pretty neat to see.  I was suprised to see how clean the lake bed was.  Thought I was going to see it littered with trash.

Took some pictures 9/31, Will post tonight. Lake is at least half drained. It seems pretty clen with no structure other than a picnic table below the dam at the pond. Seen alot of ducks and geese feasting. They are gonna get fat with all the bait fish out there!

went passed today and it looked from the road like the commission boats were rounding up fish. with the exception of a small part of the lake by the spillway shes's all but drained. only structure in that entire lake is made up of some small logs/branches, 5 or 6 stumps and a picnic table in the middle of the lake across from the playground.

On the news they showed a monster channel cat being released into Marshall Lake (whatever that is). Anyone have some cut bait?

Sorry here they are bigger im a rookiie at pics.

Hard to make out but those white things are fish.

Still alot of carp swimming.  I took a stick and put it 5 ft into the mud with one finger.  I was thinking about saving the carp but its like quick sand.

Maybe not cant figure it out.

Thanks for the pics!
Yep, they sure had a silt problem.  Hopefully the influx can be resolver somehow and they won't have to do this again for decades...

Hopefully they add some structure when the redo the lake like add some droppoffs, rock piles, timber or Christmas trees, etc...

I wonder if they did that the last time, but is covered with the sediment now?  That would be nice if they set it up as a real fishing lake.  That would mean more snags for the powerbait chuckers, which are 90% of the lakes users...
