A trip to Ice Shanty in September.....careful Brian.....you're becoming one of us..............i had my shanty set up for a day a week ago as part of my move.....really looked good sitting there!

Hey speaking of vex, i am going to upgrade for sure. Do you think the FL-12 will get the job done ? OR should i stop being so cheap and just get the 18 ??? The 20 is WAY to much $$$

I think you already know the answer to this. get the dual ducer 9/19 if your gonna fish lakers.

Here's a few more to whet the appetite for sitting on a frozen lake... 













A freind of mine in the Finger Lakes (that his Trap Shanty on Otisco Lake) was telling me about a game he and his buddies play on the ice.  Just like horseshoes:

Drill two 'half holes' about 20 ft apart and toss snowfilled empty beer cans like you would toss shoes...  I think I might have to give it a go- seems like good entertainment in between flags?

I can't believe I am this excited about freezing cold weather when there is so much HOT fishing ahead of us these next two months...    But it sure beat wallowing in misery thinking about another Upstate Winter.

Status: offline 		Yeah, my bathtub has a pretty deep hole right near the drainplug...  Suspended in the deep end.

That's where I nailed 'em last winter...  Sweet fish...  

Got some nice video of that one, but I don't think this forum is set up to post it.  I put it on Photobucket but it still won't transfer like a photo would.  Regardless, it was my best fish of the winter season.  Good evening bite.

Status: offline 		I went and cleaned out my jig boxes and rod bag.Started washing all my gear and charged the vex.I'm not anxious or anything.
