A few 16 oz split shots and some 100# test and it looks fishable.  Kinda like the Salmon River in NY at 3000cf.  If it was October Im sure someone would be givin it a go.

The east side wasn't nearly as bad.  But to close Interchange Road to the mall, that's unheard of.
I had a friend trying to pick up a boat west of Peach St. around noon and he turned around and went home.  I also talked to some guys who came up from Pittsburgh today and I-90 and I-79 were backed up for miles and miles.  Hopefully not too much more rain tonight.

Seconded. Excellent pics all around, and bigslick in particular (just because he put up pics of a location that I'm very familiar with ).

That sure was a lot of water today. Thanks for posting those pics bigslick, insane is right.

Had my waders in the car after this past weekend and I asked my boss if I could wear them to deliver the mail today.

Answer was no   I sure could have used em. I didnt deliver much mail today mostly just a pile of pulp. I hope we dont get much more of the heavy stuff.

For those who were affected by the flooding I hope it wasnt too much of a loss for you.

Why am I suddenly thirsty for YooHoo?

In all seriousness, though, I hope all of you and your families are safe, and noone suffers any property damage.

Thanks fer everbodys concern for the locals. To my knowledge, no injuries have been reported. Plenty of wet basements and water damage. On a side note, our Mayor Joe Sinnott was out with our fire departments pulling people from their cars. Good to see a real man in office.

Not that you'll ever see this Joe....my hat's off to you, yur a helluva guy!

My daughter's boyfriend is an officer with Belle Valley Fire Department. Their station was flooded with 6 feet of water and the building has been condemned. Not sure which creek is in front of it but it's a dinky little thing. They had two trucks damaged by floodwaters and made several water rescues. Also lost a lot of bunker gear and equipment.

From the Walnut Creek page. Would be interesting to try to bring your boat back to the launch in that, and still have "no wake".

Here are the pic's from my parrents house.

Notice the water comming out ABOVE the culvert pipe.  Yep, started undermining the roadbed.

Who needs to drive to Niagra Falls...  The pool of water on the other side of the road is easily 10 feet deep and about an acre in size, although you can't tell because of the trees.

Nobody has been seriously hurt but I am sure there feelings will be destroyed when the insurance companies say..."Sorry, you're not covered for flood damage"  It is gonna happen all over.  I work for a firm that handles insurance companies... good luck to all those damaged.

As for Sinnott, it was a complete publicity stunt Slick.  man's a bum

One of the 3cu's raceways was flooded and some/maybe all of the PSA raised steelhead were put out of a home. More news to fallow.
