Yeah , I live across from Thorn Res. ran into a fella keeping bass at 12" and complaining about thats all he caught all day so he was keeping it . Scares me how that mentality is lurking around. BTW Did catch 2 bass 1 at 11" , one @ 14" . I believe it takes bass atleast 5 years to reach 12" in that inpoundment and hope people practice catch & release as a few taken can devistate small fisheries such as these. They do not contain the forage base as lake Arthur so please take this into account if you cull bass . Also I do my best to clean up around the lake so if your fishing down there please help to clean up if you see rubbish laying about . It's great to see these open and the local bait shops reaping the spoils. Crappies are plentiful but small in size please help thin em out . Also be aware this area is infested with wood ticks . I am reminded of this each turkey / archery season ( one time I counted 32 on a pair of pants for an evening archery hunt near my residence ) . They are the large variety that are about an 1/8th" wide and they really hurt once embedded . Although I don't believe the wood ticks carry lime disease they are the worst here than anywhere I've witnessed in the state . On a positive note of my 30 plus tick bites in the last 8 years only 2 were deer ticks . Good luck & tight lines PM me if you want to fish sometime I do enjoy company - DC
