fishing license blew out of the boat today at some point. if anyone happens to find it could you let me know. it will be pretty obvious its mine as its probably the only one floating around with a PA, Ohio, and Georgia license in it.

Was out Sunday and had a very good fishing day. End up with a grand slam  4 Large mouth,1 smallie,1 musky, and 3 striper's. all in different places on the lake. The striper's in a couple feet of water from muddy creek to the dam on places i never caught them before. musky was caught trolling a swim bait in porters cove fair in size. Bass were on shoreline. The water temp was 54 at the dam area to 58 up muddy creek.   Dave

Wheres a good place for channels, not lookin to be spoonfed just general area. I know that there are some huge forktails in there. Bout 6 years ago I had a awsome night under the 422 bridge at 22' feet of water in the creek channel but havent been able to tangle with them since Just a few dink channels and a whole bunch of bullheads. Dont get to fish the lake as often as I'd like to, only get there 3-4 times a year, thought some of the locals may be able to offer any info on channels.

chivers,

Starting in early-mid may, find shallow coves with the weeds a foot, or so under the surface. Use floating minnow imitations ( Rapala, Bomber long A, even a Sook will work ). Let it sit motionless for a good while ( often they'll hit while it's just sitting there ), then a SLOWWW twitch, or steady retrieve. You'll get plenty, PLUS some Stripers, Bass, Eyes, even the odd Pike.

Ironically, I lost my license this weekend for the first time ever. Still...

I love it when they're so big they don't fit into camera view! 3 like this, 12 slightly smaller.

chivers; you'll have to wait a bit yet the alwives are not come up to the surface yet but within a couple weeks or so. Tanner  you can catch cats pretty much any time  day/ night  use  sunfish/bluegills . I always use one  live and one cut a bit. Sometimes they want one or the other. If you can can come up with creek chubs they will work even better and the BIGGER the better.  Dave

Went out friday and fought the wind. Got about 5 Largemouth 14 to 16 inches. No Crappies to be found. Seen Timmy The Bass Slayer and his brother "Giggles McGhee".Timmy got a Largemouth on a spinnerbait, and Giggles got skunked. Left right before dark.

Kevin ,
Even I know that one SWIM BAIT / BEAVER HUT .LOL In fact the only day I attempted to fish such an area there were 4 boats there already. 58 degrees ! a few more warm days ! crappy ; you & I rock dem rockfish AWL NIGHT LONG. Maybe this Friday ? Work is killing me so during the week will be tough but when the bites on I'll be there . Even if the alewives aren't in spawn mode the wipes will hit sub surface in the right areas .

Hey, what's going on up there? My friend with the bear problem says they're taking out the 528 bridge that crosses over 422 at Prospect and takes you to that arm of the lake? They found a body under that overpass too? There was work being done there last weekend but I figured they were just upgrading.

They are replacing the bridge and from my understanding you will have to go 422 west from 528 to the south shore exit and then get back on 422 east if you are coming from the 528 launch and want to head towards Butler. What a PITA!!!

Fished from shore yesterday and didn't do too bad on the Crappie. Had boat out in Shannon and only caught small gills and perch. Of course was catching Bass cause they are out. Ended up fishing from shore and brought home 5 nice crappie and one channel cat. Looks like we have atleast another week to catch them slabs in Arthur before ya have to look deep.
