On Saturday about 4:30 I plugged a nice 8 point with an 18 inch inside spread. Not only my first buck, but first deer with the bow. It came in not a half hour after i walked in and at about 25-30 yard i let the arrow fly. Pretty good double lung through the shoulder shot...without practicing with a new string on and peep for about a month. Talk about luck![:D] Other than the rack the chest measurement was 46 inches! Live weight estimate of 290 and field dressed 233. After dragging that thing i wouldnt bet against those estimates. I'll have the pics up soon. Also trying to get them into the Outdoor News.

Thanks goby! Sure was haul after getting him though. Well worth it! Btw im 6'2 and no little kid by any means!

Thanks all! I hit him through the front shoulder and high, but luckily it penetrated through both lungs and he didn't go 60 yards. The butchers measurement was 45 inch. I wasn't aware of how much of a difference in weight that is.
