"About Letang:  a RH shot is so valuable on the left point, correct?  Then why, was he on the right point these games so far this season? " I'm shocked he's been out there at all.  That was my point actually.  All the media and Penguin talking heads pointed out how great it would be to have that right handed shot on the point.  Last season, Letang barely ever played on the powerplay and this year he's on the right hand side...  Therrien must just be that stubborn.  It's almost like he's not putting him there because everyone and their mother knows he should be! Washington plays AO and Green on the point most nights, AO is a right handed shot, Green a left, they both play the correct side to be in optimal shooting position.  The Capitals PP is like a shooting gallery. Oh and I'm not sure what was going on, I don't know if it was a benefit game or what, but I see the Flyers lost to their minor league team 4-2 today.  Biron losing to Nitimakii or however you spell his name.   That's quality right there.

There was a group of third jersey's that got out.  Here's what I have on them.

It's nice to see the Flyers in orange again.  And seriously, please tell me Tampa Bay is kidding....

Penguins trade "future considerations" for Mike Zigomanis of Phoenix Coyotes.

RH center, kills penalties in a mediocre fashion, and doesn't do much else.

4th line RH center to replace Adam Hall, basically.

How exciting!

Man, It was great to see the wings loose tonite, and boy did Boston Look good. Goaltending a little rough but thier forwards looked stellar.

I think i'm taking boston as my sleeper this year, even though they quietly made the playoffs last year and cause some ruckus.

Long season Deadbolt. The Wings will get over 100 points.

Don't put too much stock in the B's, Colorado will not make the playoffs this year.

PS I'm kicking your a$$ in the league!

If I'm not mistaken, this kid is pretty good on faceoffs, at least I think this is the kid.  Like you said, a fourth liner, but if he can win some faceoffs in is own end on the PK, he's OK with me.

Last season he only played in 32 games or somewhere in that neighborhood.  56.2% on faceoffs.  That's good.  He's already the best faceoff man on the Penguins.  Penguins were last in the NHL last season on faceoffs at 46%.  And they've got no other RH center, so, good deal, I agree.

Of course, if he's good on face-offs and everyone knows that.  Therrien will make it a point to show all of us he is in fact "smarter" than us and Zigomanis will never take a faceoff.

Wings can go jump off a cliff while holding onto jason bay.

Boston played well. I'm telling you they've only gotten better since last year and with the addition of patrice bergeron being healthy, look out.

And sadly, I'm not paying much attention to the second league just yet, I've barely had time to focus on the league I'm commish of, so my life's been busy with archery and whatnot. But I'll pull through I think.

Hal Gill had that kind of bad luck happen to him in Toronto but their crowds are fanatical and called for him to be traded the last 2 years. At least the Pens got a point.

Jonny 4-0 without Jagr, straka,Avery?  I guess cats are now barking.

flyers have a better chance of coming up with a good slogan than winning or even getting to the cup. is it "Vengeance Now" again this year?

Finals-Pens vs doesnt matter. Pens win. Detroit, I hope, then the following year the rubber match.

I just saw that the Pens slogan this year is "Vaginas Now".

Flyers win it all this year... they just resigned Bernie Parent, and Orist Kinderchuk

the Pens slogan you posted above would be better than this years Cryers slogan.

"Hungry For More"??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hungry for more what????? they havent done anything in 30+ years.

The Pens looked great?!  The Pens didn't deserve to win that game at all.  Fleury was the only thing between losing 2-1 in OT and losing 8-1.  From the first period on, it looked like a game of half court hockey.

They need to drop that Chris Simpson broad, she is looking long in the tooth. They should hire that curvy NHL.com girl that does the Ed Olcyzk/Barry Melrose commercials for the NHL. Way hotter.
