Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  How about "smackdown".  That's not really an "erie" term, but it happens in Erie plenty. Only a few short hours away now, yes sir, a massive smackdown shall take place. This won't even be fun, not near as much fun as I've had over the last month before the circus came to town. But for some reason I feel the necessity to go do it, I can't even fall back to sleep.

"no doubt"----  seems the be the Erie locals favorite way to express agreement during a conversation.  Again maybe not just an "erie" thing.  But duuds from there seem to say it more often. Especially at one establishment in particular, just pay attention you'll figure out who.   Example,  "man it's windy out there",    response "no doubt".

Or unless they have serious pain issues, and also have very serious anti drug issues, and never got more than 6 hours in a night.  I average 4 hours sleep a night because of pain.  If i take pills I "sleep" for 8 hours and I'm useless all day so I'll live with it and keep my senses about me.

This is a religious term:

Chuteism- The practice of standing in the middle of the chute and ruining the fishing for everybody that is actually trying.
