The more the liberals and their media puppets attack her, the more I'm convinced I'm voting for her and McCain. I just love anything that gets the liberals' panties in a bunch. Oh, wait. Micheal Moore, Oprah Winfrey, and Green Day are endorsing Obama. I guess I should go with who the rock stars and Hollywood dirtbags are voting for. Nothing like a racist billionaire bleeding heart, a morbidly obese, slob of a washed up B movie director, and a bunch of punk drug addicts who spit on their fans to point the way to a brighter future. Give me a break. I'll stand by the NRA and the good 'ol boys with my political views, thank you very much. Atleast we live in the real world. just a thought, but i believe that mccain, obama, and biden have the academic creditentials to run this country, but i do have concerns about palins (even though she is a nice lady)....................................

-VP hopeful Palin attended 5 colleges in 6 years
By NICHOLAS K. GERANIOS – Sep 4, 2008
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin attended five colleges in six years before graduating from the University of Idaho in 1987.
Federal privacy laws prohibit the schools from disclosing her grades, and none of the schools contacted by The Associated Press could say why she transferred. There was no indication any of them were contacted as part of the background investigation of Palin by presidential candidate John McCain's campaign.
"Our office was not contacted by anyone," said Tania Thompson, spokeswoman for the University of Idaho in Moscow.
Palin, the governor of Alaska, was born in Idaho. Her family moved when she was only a few months old to Alaska, where she was raised.
She began college at Hawaii Pacific University, a private, nonsectarian school in Honolulu. She attended only as a freshman during the fall of 1982, school spokeswoman Crystale Lopez said.
Then known as Sarah Louise Heath, she was in the business administration program as a full-time student, Lopez said.
"We're trying to track down someone who knew her," Lopez added.
From Hawaii Pacific, Palin transferred to North Idaho College, a two-year school in Coeur d'Alene, about 30 miles east of Spokane. She attended the college as a general studies major for two semesters, in spring 1983 and fall 1983, spokeswoman Stacy Hudson said.
"We were not able to track down club affiliations or anything," Hudson said.
The school identified one of her professors but he did not remember her, Hudson said.
Prior to her selection by McCain, the North Idaho College Alumni Association notified Palin in June she would be the recipient of its 2008-2009 Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award.
From North Idaho College, Palin transferred 70 miles south to the University of Idaho, the state's flagship institution. She majored in journalism with an emphasis in broadcast news. She attended Idaho, whose mascot is the Vandals, from fall 1984 to spring 1985.
She then returned to Alaska to attend Matanuska-Susitna College in Palmer in fall 1985.
Then she returned to Idaho, for spring 1986, fall 1986 and spring 1987, when she graduated. Despite her journalism degree, she does not appear to have worked for the college newspaper or campus television station, school officials said. She worked briefly as a sportscaster for KTUU in Anchorage after she graduated college.
The McCain campaign did not have an immediate comment on Palin's higher education record.
In a recent interview with the school's alumni magazine, before her selection to run on the GOP ticket, she explained that her curiosity and love of writing made journalism a natural choice.
"I was always asking everyone the questions, and I still am today," Palin told the magazine.
The University of Idaho is taking advantage of Palin's nomination. A prominent photograph of her is featured on the school's Web site.

So now we decry Oprah as racist (I'm assuming that was her little description), but then go on to stand firmly beside the "good 'ol boys"?  Something about that speaks to me...a word that starts with an h and ends with a ypocrite...

That is, of course, assuming you were talking about Oprah.

Still, I do like that youre not letting big names and flashing lights tell you who to vote for.  I like and respect that.

I already mentioned her lack of education on a different thread.  She doesn't have the academic background to run a bait shop at Manchester hole.  In my mind that is dangerous for someone who could be vp and in the wrong circumstance, president.  Again I want leaders who are smarter than me.  Someone earlier made a remark about Ivy league students who they supposedly know that cant tie their shoes or something along those lines.  No you dont.  Nice try.  Face it, alum from top schoos including the Ivy league and others like it lead our country in business, economics, politics, science, and math.  Even Dave Letterman hires most of his writers from Harvard.  So they're not too bad with comedy either.  Point being education counts, whether it be from Harvard or any other school, and Palin's even at the colleges she went to was very mediocre.  For me that is a huge factor in my opinion of her.  I don't want to vote for anyone for VP or Pres of this country who's academic background probably doesn't live up to my own.  Cripes, I went to Slippery Rock.

i won't even attempt to question her integrity or her person.  i just would not want someone with a degree in journalism with emphasis on sports being commander in chief and sending my daughter into battle.  if she eventually served in the house or senate and got hands-on experience and knowledge, it would be different.

i will always vote for the best candidate (in my mind) regardless of party.  i have voted many times for republicans as well as dems, but i cannot figure out why the republican party would choose her other than for her appeal.  they had qualified possibilities out there.  sometimes i think that the gop is just using her.

A presidential election is like a chess game. The true winners are the advisors. If their team wins, the get big bucks for the next election. Even if they lose, they get to be commentators for TV networks and make good change there too... Oh yea... the books they sell too$$$$$

I'm having a hard time finding out how many advisors are on each party. Can't get an accurate number. Anybody have a good idea?

In case everyone forgot, Ms. Winfrey started an elite little prep school for black girls. Imagine the uproar that would ensue if I started my own school, only for white boys. I believe segregation legally ended in the 1960's. Ironic how often it is, that the very ones that cry loudest for equality and civil rights are the biggest violators. I won't even start on Michelle Obama. Anyone who cares can read all about her race driven hatred of America. I'm not a racist by any stretch of the imagination, but go ahead and label me as such because I demand racial equality from both sides of the coin. Go ahead and interpret my post as hateful, because I have a problem when the folks who are the furthest removed from reality, Hollywood heroes, have such a profound influence on a political party. Seriously...should Barbara Streisand's political opinions matter any more than an unnamed soccer mom's? And who really cares who endorses who? Is that expected to influence our decisions? If it does, then shame on you for not having a mind of your own.

Excellent post. Let's not forget that Mrs. Obamas husband was taught for years through his racist pastor on the virtues of hating the white man.
That is until of course he decided that sort of teaching would not help to further his political career.
One has to wonder though what will happen if he attains his ultimate goal of becoming president. It's scary to think just how far he and oprah might go to punish those that they despise so much.

the hate isn't race as much as it is directed at those who may be different.  what difference does it make as to one's party affiliation.  there are no true conservatives or liberals.  every issue demands an intelligent investigation.  if someone questions, the attacks begin and it is wrong.

if i had voted for bush last election, i would not be defending him and attacking those who question him.  this transcends party lines.  the guy failed.  a month ago he said the economy was fine and now he finally admits there may be trouble.  although i question obama's voting record and wonder how anyone could go to a church like the rev. wrights', i recognize that this country is in dire need of change, in need of a new direction.  things are not well.

if you throw oprah out as being hateful, then we must put rush and mann coulter in that same stew.  these are not rednecks, these are ruthless people selling there wares in the name of party affiliation.  bottom line, we need to look beyond the mouthpieces and look at what is best for our country.

"In case everyone forgot, Ms. Winfrey started an elite little prep school for black girls. Imagine the uproar that would ensue if I started my own school, only for white boys."

Your kidding right??  I mean, she started the school in South Africa for orphan girls.  Many of them were imported from war torn nations in other parts of Africa.    I never heard that the girls "had to be black" to get in.  I always assumed that most of the poor, orphans in Africa are, of course, black.  If it is a pre-requisite, I don't care.  Those people have faced lives we can't even imagine.  Good for Oprah for helping them.

"I have a problem when the folks who are the furthest removed from reality, Hollywood heroes, have such a profound influence on a political party."

Fair enough, Hollywood is full of a bunch of idiots, but what real influence are you talking about??  They give a lot of money and they all have microphones so we know what they think.  So what??  Why does it bother you so much?? Don't listen...I don't and it doesn't bother me.

tippy toe, You are not quoting truth, you are quoting biased statements based upon emotion, fear, and unsubstantiated opinion.

Let's not let another election be based upon lies. Our country is too important for that.
