chrisx2828 -> Pymatuning Park Spillway Fishing (9/3/2008 10:34:25 PM)

  Me and my 2 young sons want to head up to the spillway and catch about 20 or so Carp to throw in our pond, its about a 2 acre pond!  We live close to Erie Pa in North East.  I was wondering if anyone can help me.  I have a boat and would like to know if we can get close enough to the spillway to catch these carp or if we can only fish by land!  Also I have a 200 gallon tank that I can supply air to, how long would you think 20 carp would survive in a tank of that size.  One more things, do you know the limit per day per fisher on carp?  We love catching these fish so much, want to bring some home for some fun at the pond, thanks all!

Those fish will destroy your pond, think carefully about introducing them unless they are all you are interested in having in there.

You can take your boat and get as close to the wire as you want. No limit on how many carp you can keep either.

you just have to watch getting through the breakwall but besides that, like Chauncy said, you can get right up to the wire.
