Couldn't agree more with the last few posts.  This guy asks a legitimate question regarding some help and has to wade through the CB /Fathead cage match each time there's a post hoping that maybe someone will provide a legitimate response to his request.  I've spent quite a bit of time in Ohio this year myself.  Doesn't make it the greatest place on earth, just happens to be where it was easier for me to go to catch fish.  If the same thing were happening in the trenches off Walnut and not out of Conn., I'd be there (I'm betting CB would too).  While this is all going on I sent Texcobb a PM Tues. night offering some assistance.  Not because I'm an expert or want to show anyone I can catch more fish in a shorter time than they but because that's what he ASKED for.  Granted, as I explained to him my offer may be partially selfishly motivated in that my boat is currently down for repairs.  We've agreed that if it's not repaired for the weekend we'll try to get together to fish on Sun. If it is we'll probably meet somewhere and he can tag along on the water and we'll keep in touch during the day to try to help get him on track.  I'm betting when we do, we'll catch some fish, be it on harnesses I paid $2 for at PR's or the few I bought last year from CB (even the ones the paint is coming off on!) or who knows what else.  The bottom line is fish what and where makes you happy.  In the meantime if you can share something that's positive that might help a fellow angler do so, if not, puff your chest somewhere else!

By the way I also offered to help with information and gave my phone number for access to up to date information. I like to have a little fun once in a while, IN FACT, I also sent a PM to CB letting him know I was going to pull his chain a little! I spend a lot of money and time on the lake, and surely don't mind helping anyone with information to save them time, and money, and make their day more enjoyable on the lake. If a couple paragraphs offend you, pass them up, why spend the time reading them? I would imagine while you like reading serious posts, you probably got a couple smiles out of this one.  Sorry if I upset anyone. I hope I can get over it..... Okay I'm over it now!  Have a good day!

Wow Take some advice from the side lines here guys  friendship means more than who thinks they are the best. I thought we couldnt be beat and my tournament results prove different. in the end it really doesnt matter who is just that your customers or friends that fish with you  leave with a smile. As far as beating up the club Jeff i dont appreciate it.  This has nothing to do with the club....... It is a great group of guys trying to help each other become better fisherman. Stop fighting just fish

Dan, after acting like 2 little boys in a tug of war Wayne-O and myself have settled our differences once more as men...For some reason he and I cant have a discussion without jabbing at each other a little too hard...Its kinda always been like that...lol.  Text never comes out the same as words and can be over interpruted in the wrong way alot of times and the sarcasim that he and I both use in text often makes us look alot more mad at each other than we really are.  From now on I'll just yell at him in person.

I apologize to Fisherie and its members as well for the sidetrack on this post....I'll try to avoid my still on going vendetta against Capt. Wayne on this board....He and I are truly sworn enemies...lol

If they buy a one day PA license they don't need an Erie stamp but it is still cheaper to go to Ohio.

http://www.fish.state.pa.us/fishpub/summary/permits.html

might want to call a licensing agent on this ! It depends if your a non resident, the way I read it. Only the one day TOURIST license is $26 and all privileges are included. The 3 and 7 day TOURIST licsense you still have to purchase the required stamps. The one day RESIDENT lic is $11 and requires you to purchase the stamps also.

Update:  Hooked up with Texcobb and his Son toaday and fished his boat out of Conn.  Triple B is still down 'till Wed. so my selfish offer to help because I didn't have a boat to run stood.  We ran NE out of Conn., PA line W to 35 or so, 72-75 FOW.  A few hot spots for fish but generally scattered about.  AM bite 'till 10-10:30 still the ticket but we caught some fish after that too.  18 in the boat by 1:30.  Slow start rigging rods and figuring out how to set up to run.  Amazing how comfortable you get in your own boat being the king of your domain.  Almost glad my boat wasn't back up and running though 'cause it was a good time.  Took me back to my first mate days but the truth is I'd rather be running the back of the boat than driving any day. Randy was up front about everything, including his Son talking a lot.  Asked him at one time if he talked in his sleep!  He denied it but I'm pretty sure he's wrong. Anyways just wanted to maybe put and end to this meandering post with a positive note. A few tweaks here and there and some time on the water and those guys will be catching fish with the best of them.  Thanks for a good day!

What a fun day, not only fishing, but also putting action to the different techniques.  Weather was perfect.  Triple B was very patient and also a good teacher, and person.  Always good to make a new friend.  My son is tickled to death that the worm harness he tied caught fish (so am I)!  I want to thank everyone who posted and offered help.  I will keep your numbers for future runs and hopefully we can talk.  Thanks again Chuck!

Nice work BBB.  Glad you could get a father/son duo on some fish, hopefully they learned a lot and all had a good time.  That's what this site is all about.

Something very good came out of this thread after all.

A few good things come out of this thread I met a few guys and gave some good information to a couple guys. I got some PM's from people that thought it was great. That was very cool going out and showing those guys a good day of fishing.

Snubbers on all the dipsy's and mono on my rigger rods! I actually took the rods twice and lost fish so I left it to the crew to wind in all the fish that way I didn't look so bad! I might turn in to a trader this weekend and run out of Conneaut. My uncle keeps his boat there and I want to see how fast we can limit down there. He did limit a couple times but not consistent. I put my boat back on the trailer so now I'm mobile. See what happens when I jack you I have a couple bad days! LOL! It's your fault CB doing the "don't catch fish dance" LOL!

If any mates want the job of swimming down when we hook, up and tying the fish to our lines permantly so we don't lose them, Apply Here!
