we're going to try and make it.
Is there electricity available if I decide to bring something in a crock pot?

No.. according to Skip there wont be. PM him I think someone is bringing a gas stove to heat things up if you just bring it in a pot.

I will be bringing my two burner propane caming stove and will have another one burner for back up.  All you will need is a pot with the food and we will heat it up.  I also think Skip is bringing his grill, but I am not too sure how that will work for heating up stuff.

fisherchic,
When you say "we";  how many is a "we"?  I'm figuring on you and your significant other?  Or is there a family going to fish?   Looks like I'm definately going to have to have a prize for 1st place female.
As for electricity, not available unless someone wants to bring a generator and about a 100' drag cord so the noise doesn't interfere with the proceedings.  It's a little bit of a reach for me to drag one from KY.   (With my luck somebody would unplug it around the Columbus, OH area and I'd have to spend allll day looking for the break)

me and my husband. he used to have a username on here but I don't recall what it was. Love2Fish or something like that.
I'd love to bring my family, but unfortunately my boys don't care to go fishing with us anymore.

I still am planning on participating, providing I can find someone to ride up with me.  Since pxatim has made other arrangements I am still looking for someone to ride/drive with me from the State College area.  I know I posted this previously but, being alone in the car for a 3 hour ride at 4am can be brutal, not to mention the cost of fuel.

Esox,
You might want to pm Kyler I think he is looking for a ride from the Somerset area.  Maybe you could meet up in Dubois if he can get a ride up to there.  Oh, and try a 8-10 hour ride, all night, with a 12 year old for company.  He doesn't even want to take his turn driving; and if I have to hear that pokeman song on the Game Boy for 5 more minutes. . . .  LOL!   Wouldn't trade him for the world!

bowmandjk,
It actually wouldn't suprise me.  He was fishing with Bug one day this spring and the waters were very stained and there was a BIIIGGG run of suckers and he figured out how to catch them, somehow, very easily.  He caught 7-9 suckers and landed them in the time it took me to catch 1 steelhead and 1 sucker. He doesn't back down either.  Neither cold, nor rain, nor gloom of night.  He is actually working on tying a glow-in-the-dark fly for low vis conditions.
He is definately a fisherman.  For spring break he had his choice:  Orlando or the tribs; we were there in 25 degree weather.  Now it's his fall break:  Orlando or the "One Fly";  He's heading north with me.

maybe more like "too cool to hang with the parents" altho they don't seem to mind being around us
lately we've been kicking their asses to get good jobs and be productive and responsible adults. I'd hate to kick their asses about fishing, I'd rather they come back to it on their own.
maybe one day when they're older and realize that we knew what we were talking about all along...
they do like to be outdoors tho, so it's nice to see them get out and away from the TV, video games, etc.

FC, how old are they?  I went through alot of that just like every other teenager, though I never did stop fishing....just insisted on fishing alone!  Now I love having dad along (or vice versa), though fishing with dad is usually more of a social thing, hanging out, sharing a few cold ones, and relaxing, as opposed to the intense workout I get when I hit the streams.  Just cant convince him to switch to artificials...

18 and 21
they did some primitive camping over the labor day weekend and really got "back to nature" and that was pretty cool. my oldest son mentioned taking a fishing pole, but we pointed out that he didn't have a license and probably wouldn't find trout in that stream this time of the year. they do take their gear and fish in my sister's pond when they go to visit her too.
my oldest caught a steelhead one year at the Legion hole. he just didn't catch the fever lol

I have wanted to "comeupere" for this for a couple years, but have had to work. I am off this year, and I'm coming. I'll bring a couple of jars of pickles that I canned this year, and probably some other things like them if that is OK. I will probably come up on Thursday or Friday, depending on conditions and weather. I am really looking forward to meeting some of you characters. I have undoubtedly fished with you, but we didn't know it. I drive a dark red Nissan Quad cab Frontier, so if someone sees me wandering around Girard, just point me in the right direction. Thanks for the invitation.

Bill

Fishmonger,
If you come up early be sure to check out the "night before" that PXatim is trying to organize.  We'll meet and hoist one to your dad.

mjb4864,
OK You're in.  Are you coming as a team or will you both need partnered up?  If so you can either come to the Night Before (See Pxatims' posting) and meet & Greet or wait till the morning and get there early and meet.  Your call.

Be a good idea to amble over to the resturant next door because that's where the Night Before is being held.  Looking forward to seeing you.

I wish I could participate.
I have to set up the PA Steelhead Association's Fall Run Banquet at Shades Beach.
I hope to see some of you there later in the day.
