Pine is tough,  between the construction that was done earlier on the dam and the low warm water, it has few fish left in it.  Even the lower stretches are pretty void of warmwater gamefish.  There will inevitably be a few left, but probably not worth the chase (of course, it's fishing and that always beats work).  Can't speak to Deer, but would imagine that there are few if any trout left in there.

Deer creek has plenty of fish in it.  It still has trout, smallmouths, and my buddy got a couple of walleyes about a week ago.

Most of deer creek looks like it is only a few inches deep, with the exception of some deep holes, it's amazing anything could live in it in the summer, much less a walleye!

I can second pgh; Deer Creek as of last week was barely a trickle.  We fished at the mouth from the boat last week and caught a FEW short walleyes, emphasis on a few.  Pine Creek is a little larger watershed but, it still lacked any sort of decent flow, once again as of last week.

I hit up pine yesterday & hiked for acouple miles, and found a good hole with lots of oxygen flowing. Only had 2 hours there and hooked 2 browns (10 inches, and about 6) one jumped, and I landed the 10 incher. It was so beautiful, wish I could show you didn't bring the camera though. Second cast I hooked onto that 10. It was good considering I only fished for 3 hours..
