He still has an arm and a brain, which is what the jets were lacking.

Arm and brain dont work so well in the absence of an offensive line!

Favre won a couple or so games by his antics last year, don't think that would have happened with Rodgers. I'll give the Jets an 8-8 season because of him and it not being rubber band man Pennington. They will still miss the playoffs.

In the same division as the Pats, how could they?

For the Madden curse, I always thought it was by the individual player, not the team, still, I think it applies equally well either way.

I can tell you this, if I could have retired at 38, I wouldn't have cried while doing it and I would never have come back!  I guess Brett LOVES what he does, so that might be the difference.  Anyone remember Franco in Seattle?

This guy only won one super bowl.  I know that's alot more than you can say for alot of QB's drafted high and ended up a bust, but it was time for the Packers to move forward with the new, young talent they have waiting at that position.  It's no gaurantee, but the organization had enough of 'will he stay or will he go'.  You have to wonder if the talent around him had alot to do with their success last year.  Think of some of the embarrassing moments he had over the past few years with his play.  Not to mention he couldn't beat the bears and is older than dirt.

I think of it as he wants to play. He still has that urge. He went to New York and lets face it.. he's not on the Patriots. He's not on a dominant team so we'll see if they make the playoffs. I mean who can blame him, some people come out of retirement earlier and they dont get hounded by the media?
