incidentally folks; the kinzua dam (and/or) tailwaters have been a very frequently recurring topic. You can see thread after thread, both here and in the old forum. A few folks have said stuff, then that still apply today. I am thinking that some of these old-timers, have said the same things so often, that they are tired of repeating themselves. Its understandable. Generally as a matter of advice, it is better to come to the forum and ask ("Do you know where a certain bump is or what is the structure around XXX"), like Kth did. worse and more often is the old standard ("I'm very new to kinzua lake; where are they catching fish? Any help will be appreciated")... There's nothing wrong with that kind of thread Per se but its very redundant. A 15 minute search of old threads will yield many experienced fishermen answering that VERY question. While its true, you Might get a different answer. I doubt the difference will be very substancial... Kinzua HOLDS it all mysteries very well. If I can , stand right next to an expert, fishing within 5' of him. using the same lure, at the same time, with (what seems to me) to be identical technique and then only catch a fraction of his fish... well then you know, that Kinzua both above and below the dam... only yields fish to the persistant veteran. (and BTW) this happens all the time to me- its not that my friend is luckier.... he's just plain more skilled.
